PC monitor stand with HDTV?

Post by neorichieb1971 »

Maybe someone here has a 4:3 LCD HDTV and a PC monitor that has a swivel TATE stand.

Just wondering if the TV will fit the screw holes or not. I'm thinking about getting a small LCD HDTV for shmupping but I want a stand that will allow rotation, this seems the only way to do it really.

The benefits (before anyone asks).

1) RGB input for consoles (SCART)
2) Component video for newer consoles
3) HDMI for nextgen consoles
4) A Screen that has built in compatibility for any resolution with scaler built in.

5) If all else fails, I still have my XRGB2 :P

It probably will, since there's the VESA mount standard ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Displ ... _Interface ). You'd want to check that the TV had VESA 100 mounting holes, and not some larger version, but that info should be readily available.

My 23" LCD on my computer has a swivel mount, and composite, S-Video, component, VGA, and DVI interfaces. Granted, that doesn't include some of the inputs you list, and it's a 16:10 display, though it can letterbox smaller input. Just a bit more info ^_~ .

At first glance this HDTV looks to have every connection and the 4 VESA holes look like they are in the right place. Its the only 4:3 HDTV out there that I can find in the UK. It even has line audio input with 3.5" jack.

Even if SCART RGB picture isn't that great (hard to believe at 19") I can still use my XRGB2 on it, plus my Dreamcast through VGA. Could be a nice TV.
