I think konsole (KDE's terminal) blows the tits out of it, no doubt, but it's better than nothing. If they would fix the following things in 10.6, I'll be happy.t0yrobo wrote:
I don't know what it is about the mac terminal that makes me dislike it so much, I much prefer the terminal Ubuntu. Though that may just be because usually when I have to use the mac terminal I'm really annoyed about it.
1: rename tabs
2: double clicking text goes through dots. Currently it goes "up to" the dot.
Current computers:And in turn Lunicks > any horse shit Steve Jobs could dream of![]()
-Linux (File server)
-Linux (main work computer)
-Macbook Pro (work on the go, videos in bed, Skype).
-Windows XP (Mame / A3 Scanning)
If I can get my A3 scanner to work w/ the Xane driver (it should) my PC will be a dedicated Mame box.

Man, I still love to play Zork 2 and 3 [in a CP/M emulator], Marathon and Sim City 2000 on my iBook upstairs. I suck at Marathon past the first one though...LuckyDay wrote:Jesus. With that setup, I could play Sim City, Bureaucracy, Zork, Hitchikers, Dark Forces, Myst and Marathon AT THE SAME TIME!!!
Ahh Mac gaming.... even at the time I knew it sucked and I still loved it for some reason.
Gaming on a Mac is good stuff. If only there were more Mac games.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

I don't think I have a Mac that can play Pathways Into Darkness fullspeed...the MacTV is too slow for it, and the faster PowerPC systems shouldn't be compatible. Also, System Shock (mine won't run on the system I tried installing it on). I still want to get Marathon sometime, and already have Dark Forces for Mac.

I wish I could use my old, ADB-based Mac keyboard. Apple's keyboards have been utter crap since the original iMac. And a new keyboard of similar quality (Unicomp) would cost $70... which would be perfectly justified, but add $50 for the international shipping, and the possible import tariffs, and that's a bit too much for me.

Last time I tried, I couldn't get it to work. It worked fine on an XP box though, but didn't work on Vista.croikle wrote:I see no reason why they shouldn't, it's just USB. There might be some fiddling if you want the special keys (volume, etc) to work, but the basic functionality is normal.
