Suppose if Designer's Republic did a shmup from the ground up...what would it look like? They are well known for their minimalist cool and simpiistic aestethics when it comes to logo design + and overall graphic design themes...combine that unique sense of style with matching complimentary cool or hot color scheme = a great looking package altogether.

If I recall correctly there was a Pop Will Eat Itself Shmup floating around on the internet.

As l their design work was done by DR I'm guessing that would fit your bill
