Just wait 'til you reach the flying voodoo priest. One touch from him and it's instant death.Skykid wrote:Wow! I'm impressed! What, do you actually have to be a zen master to finish this game?!emphatic wrote: Just wait 'til you reach the flying voodoo priest. One touch from him and it's instant death.

No, just lots of practice I guess. The bonus/training stages are really cool as well. And the hidden treasure room. Also there's a way of jumping back half a stage and do it over and over, but I don't really remember how at the moment. I guess you like Black Tiger as well? That's more fun imo. Tiger Road is a cool game, but until you learn how to time your attacks/jumping it can be a tiresome.Skykid wrote:What, do you actually have to be a zen master to finish this game?!emphatic wrote: Just wait 'til you reach the flying voodoo priest. Everytime I see those nice chairs I get an itch to sell something just to get a pair. My Ikea chairs don't quite match my cabs.

Them Cave PCB kits like to stroked and petted from time to time...they are known to be quite affectionate towards their owners. Wanna spend a little one-on-one quality time with one? ^_~mastercello wrote:I will, dont be affraid.Jockel wrote:Nice stuff. Don't forget to pet the ibara kit once in a while from me![]()
@emphatic - yes, they are really nice. But also expensive after shipping from Japan.
The latest (and last
) Taito platformer for arcades. Spica Adventure
Looks similar to Mr Driller style art. Music is awsome. Wielding the umbrella to climb walls and ceilings looks a LOT like pixelcorp's ookibloks.

BTW: I uploaded a video of Spica Adventure opening sequence here.

For PCEFX!, its a BetaBrite sign which can connect to a PC via serial port. There is a plugin for the Mala front end to mame which can control the LED with game titles as you switch between them. Otherwise I just use the huge ass remote to program the sign with whatever I want.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:That LED sign on top of the Namco Excellena cabinet, how is it programmable, Dave K.? Via PC setup?

Raiden fighters jet for $100...graphics are wonky( black and white/fuzzy) on my supergun for some reason I'll test it on the cab tomorrow.
Also the board is not what I expected in terms of looks I know seibu used some amd 386's on some boards, and that's what this has, but it lacks a interchangeable cart that I thought all the SPI boards have? Is it a bootleg? it plays perfectly fine other then the video issues which I think is my supergun not the board.
EDIT: just realised this is a RFJ2000 board with the dreaded mono sound...so how much worse is the 2k version vs the SPI version?
