Can't imagine sven being shorter than me  (only 2cm though)

I'm around 60kg, but when I was home during Christmas for 2 weeks I went up 5 kilos. Now I'm back down to 60 again. I don't eat enough :?

I fall under the Obese level.
5'11" and 230lb here.

That's what passes as obese these days? Guess I'm in trouble then. I'm 5'11" (or 6'0", not quite sure) and 218 lbs. Not that you could tell, though. It seems that all the extra weight is this concentrated brick-fat around my abdomen. When I put on a shirt it's not very noticeable because I have a skinny build otherwise.

You never see weightlifters or powerlifters do chin-ups or pull-ups much
B/c they care about one thing: Bulk lifting. The reason chin-ups are a benchmark is b/c the heavier you get, the harder they get. They're for people that are "fit"... not strong. If you want to bench press 400 pounds, cool, but these are the guys that typically can do about 2 pullups, and 8 push ups w/ their feet elevated.

I am 6'2" and around 160 lbs. I have huge, spindly fingers (though they're really strong) which work great for shmups and for classical guitar.

It looks like I voted when this thread was first posted, but never actually gave a real reply. I used to be slightly underweight, but I'm on the low side of normal now. My BMI is 18.8, I'm around 5'11" (~180cm), and I weight around 135-140 lbs (61-64 kg) usually. Even though I don't weigh much I've had this disgusting little pot belly and back fat "love-handles" shit for the past few years, but they're slowly going away now that I'm no longer a raging alcoholic :D

I think I'm on the edge of being very overweight. I'm not really fat, FAT. But I do weigh a lot more than I should.

Need to lose about 20 kg or so.
I'm 193 cm tall, and weigh around 115-120 kg.

I'm in quite good shape, though I never exercise other than walking, so perhaps there is something to this fire-button-mashing-as-exercise thing...

Anybody here into lifting? (Bulk lifting according to GP)
I lift about every other day.
Since everyone is listing their stats... I'm 5'9"ish and range from 145-148 lbs. My goal is to hit like 165 lbs though. That'd be awesome.

ive got a belly now, have had for a few months due to me being knocked off my motorcycle just before christmas, I was weight training around 5 times a week and running for 40mins-1 hour on the treadmill 3 times a week. Now im training maybe twice a week and doing around 15 minutes of cardio both times :( its been since christmas my left shoulder feels like shit and currently I lack the motivation....but since I weighed myself on monday I weigh 77kgs! pre accident I weighted 70-72kgs this is what eating junk food and doing no exercise does :(

I made a promise that this monday coming up ill be training no less than 5 times next week! I need to get back into shape.

At the time I was doing hard labor at a factory and ate anything I wanted, I weighed about 220 lbs. That’s not bad for someone who’s 6’5”. I haven’t done that in about three years and I’ve kept the same bad eating habits. Now I weigh 290 lbs.

I guess age has something to do with it also. I’ve heard that as you get older your metabolism doesn’t work as well.

I have a treadmill though, going to start running on it for 30 min a day and eat more fruit. Maybe that will do the trick.

And don't think this quite qualifies... I lift 3 days a week an do cardio 3 other days a week. We're probably a similar build, but I'm a good 6 inches taller than you (6'3" 180lbs).

The guys I was referring to above are the ones that are often quite squatty, and don't really look fit, but look like they could lift a truck if they had to. Generally body builders, but there are plenty of body builders that don't fit that description. I will always hold someone who can do a 1-handed pullup/pushup in higher regard than someone that can bench a stupid amoutnt.

Look up PaCrappa's fitness thread somewhere in here for why.

I think your thinking of power lifters. Body builders care about a very chizzled body with perfect shape and balance to everything, where as power lifters just want to lift as much weight as possible. Usually body builders have more tone where as power lifters have unstructured mass. If you compare the men who compete on world's strongest man to those you see on stage in thongs you'll see what I mean.

I'd also recommend that thread.
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.

Check out Marius Pudzianowski training, guys bodyfat % is like under 4, worlds strongest man 5 times, beast at everything. Theres a few vids of him on youtube, he basically does everything including cardio for running + bodyweight exercises. Hes roided to hell though and taking HGH and EPO.

I've seen people call themselves body builders who were no where near chizzled. Semantic issue?

Normal, basically.

I look lanky and scrawny in a lot of ways, but I weigh in at around 190 pounds(6'1), so i'm not light. It basically has to do with all the weight sorta going to the midsection, rather than distributing evenly. So, I have the weight, and I don't have a gut(but am not thin in the upper body), but I look pretty lanky with clothes on.

:?

It's annoying, really.

@ GaijinPunch

Could be a bodybuilder in the off season, some guys eat like hell to gain bulk mass then use drugs to cut the weight prior to the competition season. I'd expect that typically for amateur guys only competing once or twice a year, too difficult to hold the unnatural conditioning all year round.

5'11" about 160 pounds, average, run-o-the-mill shape here. Have sparse upper body strength, most of it in my legs, and lanky fingers. I attribute my weight to eating generally healthy most of my life and a good metabolism.

Yeah probably. Or maybe they aren't dieting right.

I can almost do a one-handed push up now. Pretty soon I should have it down.
