My sick days don't rollover either, but I still get paid for them when I don't take them. Like, say I have two weeks of sick time and I never used it... the last two weeks of the year I'll get paid for four weeks. Same for vacation time. I know I worded that kind of oddly, but hopefully you catch my drift. Does your employer not do that for you?

Isn't that how it is for most people? I don't know anybody who skips work/school just because they have the sniffles

Most often you pass a burden onto your coworkers who haven't asked for that.
Not everybody has a position that just anybody can do. Whenever I take days off I come back to a big pile of work because I'm the only one who can do it. However, if I got a bunch of extra work to do and I knew it was because somebody wanted to play video games instead of doing their job, I guess I'd probably consider it pretty 'lame' too.

Only if you have a shitty job and a shitty employer. Some people take pride in their jobs, you know

MGD tastes fucking horrible at any age, haha.

Wow, that's quite the coincidence, especially with it being your first time and all. If that happened to me my mom would have been all like "be sure your sins will find you out" with a big smug look on her face and then she'd talk to me about God for the rest of the day. I'm really glad I moved out, lol.
