Supergun to LCD tv

Ok so I managed to get my supergun and pgm system set up anyway i plug it all into my 42 inch lcd TV and the graphics look pretty poor, very grainy like its been zoomed in 10x lol I play it on my sisters 28inch crt TV and it looks good........

how can I get it to that standard on my LCD tv? are there upscalers and stuff I need to buy? help a noob out lol :)

Well the TV is upscaning the 240p image. If you give it a direct 240p feed it would look like shit with no scanlines. Are you using component or SCART? I presume you got your supergun from Fire-Bug, I told him I need one that outputs SCART.

The reason why is that I own a XRGB2. The XRGB2 will output the image to 480p (even better if you put on fake scanlines). I own a 720p TV (it has VGA input), so I can run the XRGB2 on my TV and it'll output 480p with scanlines. That's a hell a lot better than giving it a direct 240p image that the TV have to upscale which can cause button lag.

so what your saying is i need an xrgb2? you are correct im using a scart.

For best results IMO. It's a fantastic upscaler, but it won't work on all LCDs with VGA (it didn't work on any Acer LCD, but it works fine with my Samsung LCD).

And compared to other real upscalers, it's rather cheap at 200-250$.
