Question for somebody with Nemesis box (JPN Game Boy)

I got a copy of this sometime last month. Everything seems legit except the box outside is rather pinkish, instead of Red like all the other Konami games I have (which includes Drac Densetsu, which came out at roughly the same time as far as I can tell). It's rather strange, since the colors of the Konami logo on the front seem right, as does the color of the front illustration.

I'm pretty dang sure this isn't a pirate, so I'm wondering if it's not some kind of what the collector crowd would call a "packaging variant," a goof-up in the printing process.

Other random notes:

-Type of printing is clearly the same, i.e. the Konami is clearly printed with a matrix of gray dots on all my JPN Konami GB games

-Same goes for stuff inside.

-No other obvious signs of piracy on the game cartridge or elsewhere.

this might be a case of color fading, but with all you've said about the box it might not be.

Color fading doesn't make sense. It's uniform across the box, but other parts (like the Konami wave on the front) aren't a different color than usual.

I have games from 89 (Drac Den.) and later, so this one comes inbetween other kinds. Teh oddnez.
