So, I wonder what kind of beer is this guy drinking... Perhaps he went on a marathon of X-files and, blam, idea! Completely opposite to the attitude of the last months where it seemed he was almost dropping the series due to the fanmade animation project, the increasing popularity and whatnot.

As long as the game is decent. The bombs seem to be back. Isn't that the Fantasy Seal on the last picture? Classic bombs, please... Also, those UFO icons on the left lower corner. Could they be an equivalent of carpet bombing but with UFOs? Or maybe they'll be hypers ala DDP-DOJ?

I also see a lack of fairies as enemies. That's a good change I also appreciated in SA.

Other than that, don't know what to think. Time to wait for the release of the trial.

I also think it's pretty cool that ZUN's using different enemy types. Hopefully there are some space-levels also. That would be damned cool.

I have a weird relationship with this series. I know that inevitably, ZUN will one day make another game like Shoot the Bullet or Phantasmagoria. That's why I click threads like this. When I find out it's standard fare again, I lose interest again until the next game announcement. I don't mind the wait, and I'm glad most people are getting what they want, but it all is a little strange.

Actually I'm posting because I glanced and saw KennyMan's name while scrolling past the IRC log. Someone ask Kenny why he has betrayed us!

Less of this loli/borderline pedophile shit and the game sounds good to me. I liked some of the Touhou games but the repetetiveness of the enemy boss's (all 11 year old girls) and no distinctive backgrounds between levels put me off completely after a while.

I'd rather not!

TH11 was terrible; the graze idea was probably OK but then he designed the stages to be ridiculously boring even compared to the other Touhou games. The first three bosses are really boring and the rehashed attacks on the fourth boss were a mixed bag. Orin is actually one of the most interesting battles in the series but I HATE HATE HATE the final boss. In the end I never quite beat it and didn't get to play extra (which I actually wanted).

But I'm excited about this one because Sanae is playable. I'm actually kind of disturbed by how interested I am in that.

Well, it's looking interesting. I get my continuous laser back (it's a quirk of mine - if a shmup has a "continuous laser" weapon, I will always, always beat the game with it first), which is good, and ZUN seems to have scratched the annoying PowerBombs thing, which is great.

Given I tend to like Touhou games for the most part, I can only think that as long as ZUN comes up with enough cool paterns, I'm probably going to love this.

Well, demo will be up tomorrow afternoon, I suppose. So I'll just have to try it.
