Don't think it's naive, if you've looked into psychology more than the average person it's actually a pretty informed opinion. He's a manchild like Macaulay Culkin or Gary Coleman or several other child stars who were pushed that hard as a kid. He likes the company of kids because he still is one developmentally. The psychology behind it is documented in some places.
It depends how you define pedo, if it's just peculiar fascination with kids then Ok, but sexually exploitative or preying on kids, I would need more evidence of that.
