not to be annoying, but that particular tune (expander) is by motohiro kawashima ;]

aside from the criminal lack of any espgaluda 2 or chaos field tunes this is pretty awesome, and gives a whole new meaning to the term "reach for the lasers" \o/

edit: and thanks for proving once and for all that 50 cent is far, far inferior to a MOS 6581; it took me about a minute of listening to what i was just hearing as an awesome chiptune to realise that fiddy was talking shit over the top of it :[

I have always thought that Garegga music could work in this type of situation.

Next time use some Kou Hayashi and Daisuke Nagata.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Now if only someone would put a few Tohou tracks in the club scene. 8)
The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

You don't say!
In every happy hardcore event I go in Japan, I am assured to hear at least 30min of touhou throughout the night.
Not that I dislike the music, but I guess I became a bit accustomed to it.

But Battle Garegga music in a club? Now we're talking!

Actually, I played the DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu Hibachi theme in a club in Shibuya right after the latest Cave matsuri. With all people shouting "HEY!" at the same time, 'was quite fun... :)

Holy shit man that's a dope mix you got there! Did anyone pop n'lock or breakdance to some of these tunes?

Hahaha I love when that happens, especially when they form a dance circle

Yeah, I didn't click on this thread for a while, because even though I like most Cave music pretty well, I didn't know why I should care. If I'd known there was Garegga stage 1 here I would've come right away! :P

But actually, the ten minutes or so after Mushi stage 1 kicks in is so awesome. I enjoyed listening to the whole thing, but especially that part.

I wish we had the times for each song. I actually had to find the cave songs themselves to see which ones I really liked.

As a former DJ, I heard anime and game music and figured this was a joke.. but I downloaded it anyway and Jesus dude, this is a really good mix with a crazy cool variety of musical styles that you manage to make work together. The Metroid overlay is my absolute favorite part but damn, this is fine work.

You should really make a .cue sheet so this can be burned to a CD properly.

Didn't know that Max Man wasn't done by Yuzo Koshiro, that's pretty interesting. One of my favorite tracks, as it's pretty crazy.

Awesome to hear you did that! I've always dreamed of doing something similar, but when me an my wife DJ (only occaisionally) its mainly rock 'n' roll, motown, ska, funk, daisy age hip hop and such, so a little tricky.

I did get away with slipping some Nullsleep and Disasterpiece in amongst some breakcore at a big party in a field once, but nothing anywhere near as superb as what you've done Pixelcorps! Amazing!

Danced like a tit with my wife and mates to your set last night. Rap bits aren't to my taste, but it was damn fun, and by all the wine spilt on the floor, it went down bloody well with everybody...

hey all, apologies for not responding to the great positive reponses to my mix..

things have been really tough the last few months with trying to find a new job in the games industry, and i'm not having any luck anywhere, here in japan, or back in the USA..

I was asked to spin at siesta again recently, but I was just too bogged down applying for jobs.. and my laptop also died, which is my main timekeeper whe i do complicated sets like that one..

here's the super shinobi vs madonna mashup link
www.work3.com/mixi/music_in_chinatown.mp3

it's kinda silly..

when i'm feeling a bit more upbeat about things, I will try and get another mix together, or maybe I will be invited to spin at siesta again soon..

oh, the nosebleed level oldschool hardcore track @ 20 mins is 'jump' by chaos AD
