Shooting Love 200X is surprisingly fun

Ok.. here's what I noticed with Trizeal Remix.
All of the bullets now have a really bright glow to them, making them appear larger than they are.
Rapid Trans seriously fucks up the bosses (hell, evening doing it manually by rapidly tapping Trans is still devastating). I'm pretty sure the damage wasn't set this high in the DC version. It made the spinning cannon part of stage 5 much easier.
There's very little slowdown. I triggered some against the stage 4 boss when he deployed all of those little spinning units.. but other stuff like the asteroid field had no slowdown at all.
The large battle ships in stage 5 (before the vertical decent) do not fire as quickly as they do in the DC original.

Yeah, that's just nasty.Kingbuzzo wrote:I don't even want to think about surviving the asteroid belt without slowdown
...Sounds like fun.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

I split my pre-order today and added Shooting Love 200X. If you are dealing with Play-Asia, be warned that they will charge the normal price for DDP even if you pre-ordered it at the lower price (I think it was a 10USD difference). This happens apparently because they don't just modify your order, they actually remove things from your order and place them again in a new shopping cart. You won't lose your pre-order place in the queue, however.spadgy wrote:Yeah... maybe come payday I should split the order!ex.machina wrote:Ketsui still has no release date, who knows if it's actually gonna come this year.spadgy wrote: Being a tight-fisted git, I ordered mycopy with Ketsui 360, so I don't have to pay for postage twice, which means I'll be waiting for a while!
Well guys, I managed to take 9th place on the Trizeal ladder-boards last night (got 3.3 million, died during the final boss fight). The top 20 positions have replays available. Much like Raiden IV, the replays load straight from the server into memory. I didn't watch a replay long enough to see if it asks to save at the end.
There were 704 entries on the Trizeal table.
Also, it feels like the drop-speed of the items has been increased slightly... I swear that they would hang in the air just a little bit longer and didn't accelerate so quickly.
Triggering most of the bonus stuff (like the UFO in stage 1, the white bird in stage 2, etc etc) will unlock achievements. The most humourous one is the "Tate Love" achievement. Simply set the display to tate to unlock it.
*ninja edit*
Nice DVD 2 is region-locked. Sort of odd for an INH DVD, but it is NTSC Region-2.

Would you recommend this game regardless of its price? I've never played trizeal or exzeal. I think we seem to have similar tastes in our shoot em ups.Kiken wrote:Well guys, I managed to take 9th place on the Trizeal ladder-boards last night (got 3.3 million, died during the final boss fight). Well, if you don't already own Trizeal in one form or another, then yes, I would recommend this collection. It's certainly the best game on the disc, and considering how the DC version skyrocketed in value, I think getting 1 and 3/4's other games with it is a worthwhile value (assuming you have a Japanese 360 already). What's the resale value on the PS2 port?TodayIsForgotten wrote:Would you recommend this game regardless of its price? I've never played trizeal or exzeal. Exzeal is ok... but it feels like Trizeal-Lite (sorta like, these were left-over ideas from Trizeal that Fujino decided to turn into their own game)... and it utilizes joystick wiggling (XII Stag players rejoice). Shooting Ginokentei is a fun distraction for a couple of minutes... it's very party-game in nature (adding a 4-player option was a good idea). -0 is very abstract-doujin, basic shapes with lots of trippy colours (essentially, a nice little bonus).

Getting consistent opinions on niche games from a bunch of incredibly picky fans is not easy.PsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:so far the mixed reviews leaves me puzzled...

Got this game today and watched the DVD. In the bonus features the "superplayer" is mashing the buttons 462 times in 10 seconds. Awesome!
An annoying thing which hasn't been posted here yet: If you play on a 4:3 screen in a high resolution (1280x1024) the game switches to widescreen mode and you have thick borders on the left and right (in tate mode) and no fullscreen. I had to switch to 640x480 to play the game in 4:3. What's that shit?

WTB: Arkanoid II Revenge Of Doh PCB, Outzone PCB, Fixeight PCB
Are you sure that it's not just assuming 1280x1024 via the VGA cable = 5:4 LCD panel and adjusting aspect ratio accordingly? Anyway what's wrong with 1024x768 (yeah it sucks there's no 1280x960 option, and 1600x1200 is more pixels than D4/fullHD)antares wrote:An annoying thing which hasn't been posted here yet: If you play on a 4:3 screen in a high resolution (1280x1024) the game switches to widescreen mode and you have thick borders on the left and right (in tate mode) and no fullscreen. I don't own the XBOX360 version by I own the NAOMI version
I could use a little help on some of the mini games basically
it boils down to, what you're supposed to do:
. Rocket, it has bits you can shoot off but then what ?
. Blue, Red and Green orbs. How do you know which one
to pick up ? Something with the overlap ?
. The spaceship with the red orb in the middle which
features the sections flying in and surrounding it. I get
points when shooting it but then I'm either obliterated when the
sections come flying or the ship leaves.
