Arcade Infinity in rowland heights ca

they have a raiden iv, mushi futari 1.5, and death smiles there. not sure if anybody touched down on this before but ive spent hundreds of dollars there already haha. if you live in so cal, its right off the 60 fwy, just exit fullerton rd. its in the diamond plaza shopping center which has lots of cool little japanese shops and resturaunts. i wish i still lived in so cal so i could go there everyday like i used to :(

Arcade Infinity has a sordid past with bad arcade cabinet sales, and legal troubles selling bootleg merchandise. Although when it comes to just running their arcade, they are great. I stopped by there once on my way to LA to pickup a cabinet from a NeoGeo member.

AI has Azumanga Daioh Puzzle Bobble, too!

One of the nearby restaurants sells great boba tea. Always buy some before you play. =O

Woh, I didn't know this was here! According to Google Maps, that's 7 minutes from my work. Crazy!

Nice surprise for you, wish that could happen for the rest of us. Anyone going to pop up with a Japanese style arcade in eastern Indiana?

Didn't think so. :(

Wanna start up an arcade with me? There's nothing good around here, in uptown Fort Wayne-- dunno about downtown, but I doubt anything good is there either.

I wonder if there is even a single shmup cabinet anywhere in Florida (apart from collectors).

Yeah, us Northern and Central Californians are deprived of such a Japanese themed candy cab endowed arcade. ^_~

yea i hate living in nor cal again. i moved to lodi which is 120 miles north east of san fransisco and 35 miles south of sacramento. if any nor cal people wana get some shmup sessions going let me know in a PM. i hear there's a great arcade in SF that has some great shmups, i just hope my friend wasn't reffering to the metreon as its no longer the same place since it fell under new ownership.

i was at AI last weekend and got to the last stage on maniac mode in futari on 1c. i was pretty juiced i did so well. some asian girls were watching me play trippin out on all the bullets i was dodging. my girlfriend got mad at me haha. i also went on a 22 game tear on capcom vs snk 2 and an 11 game streak on SFIV. My woman loves the azumanga dai oh puzzle bobble. she was on it all night ripping some little asian girls at it. i love AI, and yes EVERY time i go i get boba tea before i play. delicious! :) there's also a cool japanese style photo booth place next to it called Cue! i think. me and my gf got some really cool pix taken there.

the whole diamond plaza is amazing. if you ever go to the Los Angeles area i highly suggest you make this place a stop on your trip!

this is very cool. we had a cool arcade that gave me my fighting game fix but one day they decided to move to the local bowling alley and decided to stop getting test systems from the jap companies. I really kicked ass at Street fighter alpha 3 and tekken tag tourny before they were even released in the arcades here.

What was the name of that particular arcade and where was it based at? Sound intriguing to be able to play arcade fighting games before them being officially released Stateside. Now only if the arcade shmup devs would do the same for the USA...but they already know that there are some hard-core American folks willing to plunk down over $2,000+ on day one for a brand new Cave shmup PCB kit. ^_~

crap I can't think of the name right now. something like pinball arcade or something. the arcade was in lawrence, kansas. used to go there once a week with my dad, then when he started not wanting to go my sister would go just to play the pinball games and the gaunlet games.
edit: my dad just told me its planet pinball. they had some cool games and all but it was fun finding out that I beat tekken tag before it was out stateside. Gun Jack for the win!!!

Yeah, it looks like he got rid of DeathSmiles. Hopefully he'll use the funds for another shmup. I could go for some Daifukkatsu.

Yeah, I hope so, too.

I did see a new version of melty blood after deathsmiles Vanished.

I hope that's not what he spent it on.

Is Mushi Futari still there?

Has anyone been out to Denjin arcade yet? Apparently there is Ibara, but I don't think that's a beginner-friendly game so I doubt it's doing well.
