So, a mate of mine has triggered the infinite lives bug that only he seems capable of (again), and rather than switching the cab off I've left it running for the past 24 hours - letting the death shrapnel take care of any bosses.
Score currently stands at 31m. Anyone care to guess (or care at all) whether it'll counter stop or rollover?
Difficulty is set to easy. He has glitched it when it's been on normal. Last time the glitch was on P2, this time it's P1. If I start P2 during this run, P2 can die as normal.
Board is on freeplay - this could perhaps be a part of it?
He doesn't actually know how he's doing it - I might not have seen it because I rarely venture outside of Alpha. It's only happened once before now. Nothing untoward is done, just presses start and somehow never hits the game over/continue screen.
the raiden games don't actually counterstop at 10m. japanese records just stop counting over 10mil (or 100mil in fire shark's case) in multiloop games.
raiden 1 does actually counterstop at 99999990, not sure about 2/dx though.
so long and tanks for all the spacefish unban shw <Megalixir> now that i know garegga is faggot central i can disregard it entirely
<Megalixir> i'm stuck in a hobby with gays
It seems like I've managed to trigger infinite lives at least once on my DX board as well, although I haven't got a clue how it happened. I think in my case it was on a 2-player game.
The guy over there would probably sing you a song about 'I wanna see your board from the start, and come to your house and eat your out of house and home, so I know you aren't cheating.'

And then, he would probably say you cheated.
ask him to bring a piece of his " fine art"
the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..

if you turn it upside down, it's almost like a different piece

And that guy perhaps would be none other than Walter Day (or one of his Twin Galaxies score reps). ^_~
I recall seeing Walter Day at both the 2004 California Extreme and the 2004 Classic Gaming Expo shows. You couldn't miss him with his trademarked referee shirt. ^_~
