If you log on to the Japanese Playstation Store Network, you'll see that there is a new PS3 game demo of Sega's Ryu Ga Gotoku 3. It first appeared on the Japanese PSN on 2/18/2009 and the full-version game is set to debut sometime in March of 2009. It's a 1,256 MB file download and is version 1.00 for now. It runs at 720p output and still looks quite good imo. Lots of cool FMV scenes in this brawler fest demo -- a rarity these days concerning import PS3 game demos these days (which is quite sparse and lacking compared to the USA or European PSN sites). Why is that? ^_~
Btw, this RGG demo does support 5.1 Digital Dolby output...so if you have a cool stereo reciever setup such as that with Toslink support, you're in for a audio/visual treat. ^_~
PC Engine Fan X! ^_~

Yup, already played & loved it
Might as well mention that Ryu ga gotoku 3's club sega arcade includes a somewhat shmuppy minigame; your ship can't take damage,
and the gist of the game is to destroy medium to big sized enemy ships, composed of cells, as fast as possible since there's a timelimit.
The further you get the bigger the enemy. It's quite the eye-candy too...

Played the demo. Impressions? Game of the fucking forever!!! Genre: Kiryu Kazuma simulator.
To me RgG is definitely the best new franchise to have appeared on the PS2. I clocked about 90 hours in RgG2 on my first playthrough and finished all 120 sidequests(yes, even the Shogi and Mahjong ones). Same with RgG: Kenzan. And since RgG3 is supposedly going to have more sidequests than the three previous RgG games combined(according to Toshihiro Nagoshi at least), I better brace myself for the hundreds of hours of ass kicking the game will throw at me.
