its a simple offtopic question but it kinda itches me.
We hereby officially clarify, which cola is the best in the world with a simple but serious shmups.com poll.
Complain, if there is an important cola missing in the poll.

I just cant live without it.

having simple coca cola aswell, pepsi is far too much sugar, and i think pepsi light is nothing more than gross (my mom drinks bottles of it any day)

never knew what was up with diet and light stuff anyway

Also my vote goes for "none of the above; milk or lift+ (local energy drink)". Being a product tester as my occupation, I see a lot of stuff. I think it's better to stick to what you know.

I prefer Pepsi. It seems like more of a refreshing caffienne drink - Coke just makes me ill and seems like some syruppy sugar treat you give to kids. Honestly I feel like I pigged out on an entire bag of Haribo after just one Coke. It actually tastes better from McDonalds when they water it down with 3/4 of a cup of ice.

Yeah your right Coke from postmix is fucking awesome. I recall visiting a place where they bottled there own Coke and it was the nicest coke ever. It has nothing to do with watering it down its just been mixed fresh. I iamgine they also filter there water a lot too.

It's my personal choice tho. I love the Art Deco bottle design.

I've heard many times that Coke (and presumably Pepsi as well) taste different in different parts of the world, and board members are from all over the place, so yeah.

Does anybody else besides the US use high fructose corn syrup? Supposedly real sugar is way better, but most Americans don't care or don't know any better. I know there's a Dr. Pepper plant that proudly makes it with real sugar.

Anyway, I didn't vote because Dr. Pepper and Cherry [Coke or Pespi] are tied for my favorite. Pespi > Coke, though (Pepsi is sweeter, Coke is syrupier). I usually don't have carbonated drinks at home, though, although I used to drink a lot.

Replace don't care and don't know any better, with can't do shit about. The reason why high fructose corn syrup is in so many American products has to do with politics more than national taste. Corn growers in America receive government subsidies that helps them to undercut any competition. This allows them to make high fructose corn syrup cheaper than sugar which is seen as a "bad" foreign product "taken durr jerbs" if you will.

Anyway I just drink Mexican Coca Cola which is widespread in Texas. However, I fear if that ever gets too popular it will be banned in the US either by Coke or by government regulations "protecting" the slimy American agricultural industry.

Regular coke for me. But I do like Vanilla Coke and Coke Lime, I guess it depends on my mood for what one I'll go for. But... I don't even drink soda often.

I'm not a huge fan of them either, but at least they are better than the diets in the 80s. Saccharin, ugh.

The corn refiners association even went as far as showing commercials that told lies about high fructose corn syrup. "It's all natural"

I like the flavored colas like Vanilla, Lime, and Cherry Coke. I haven't seen Lime around as much in non-diet, so I haven't been getting it, though. I like Wild Cherry Pepsi, but I like Cherry Coke better.

Not true. It's not esactly common here, but I have been able to get it around here before.

As for me, I stopped drinking cola and other caffeinated beverages a bit more than a year ago because I have found that even the slightest amount of caffeine will make it difficult for me to get to sleep at night.

My vote goes for Diet coke from coca cola, drink about a bottle a day. As a health nut I should avoid it but, honestly I couldn't live without it. Good ole phosphoric acid on my teeth enamel.
