The Xevious one is beautiful!

But the Salamander one just matches better with the current forum layout

Hmm..I wanted to try this...though, my logo is horribly ugly compared to the ones above...XD

Well, I did it for fun mostly...

I feel it`s much too girly though....then again...I guess it`s because I`m a girl..?

I wish I had something better than MS Paint...

Gosh, how many entries were there? This thread is way old, and we still have the old logo(and it's a good logo too...i'd stick with it).

Why not make the logo rotate? Randomize the pic over a bunch of good entries.

I have some ideas I'm going to be starting to mess around with soon. My vision is basically an explosion with a bullet pattern around it and the "shmups"... oh wait thats what we already have

Someone could make a big bullet pattern that spelled out SHMUPS. Or a bullet patter that had empty spaces in it that spelled it out. That's an idea. Go for purple or blue..not pink!

What I like about the current logo is that is simultaneously represents different sides of shmups, from the initially cheesy retro/disco appearance to the imagery of outer space and a ringed planet to a modern boss emitting bullet spreads.

DJI: if you mean the logos I've done, no problem at all, I also got a few others that I could post.

I got a Darius one that looks ok.

Without further ado, here's my logo. Yes it was made from scratch. No it's not from Metal Slug. Yes I wanted to make it look like it was from Metal Slug.
