Good PS2 motorcycle racing games?....

Post by dave4shmups »

I didn't care for Tourist Trophy at all, so what are some other good motorcycle racing games for the PS2?

Not quite motorcycle but the ATV Offroad Fury series is excellent. Sorry I haven't really played any motorcycle games.

No problem, yeah, those games are fantastic! I should have noted that I found Tourist Trophy to be too perfectionist-I would always fall off the bike during turns.

What about the MotoGP games-has anyone played those?

Personally, I liked Suzuki TT Superbikes. The controls take a bit to get used to though.

Speaking of controls, has anyone tried one of these?

It can't be worse than a Dual Shock, can it?

Championship Motocross with Ricky Carmichael was a good dirt bike racing game on the PSX. There were sequels on the PS2, but I haven't played those.

What about Riding Spirits...

Not that good judging by reviews but apparantly was touted as being Gran Tourismo with bikes

Or the Moto GP Series of games...

Or Superbike series...

Hopefully should be something there to tickle your fancy :)

I have all the Namco produced Moto GP games that they did for the PS2 platform and they are cool arcadey type of racing games if that is your style. After all, Namco did release the arcade motocycle racing game of Cyber Cycles back in the day that you stradled on a motocycle prop and leaned it during the sharp turns and whatnot -- it was possible to play it for free if it was first powered up for the day. ^_~

Capcom handled publishing the very last MotoGP release for the PS2 and not Namco this time around.

downhill domination is an awesome awesome mountain biking game, if you look for similar stuff.
I actually never say no to a round with friends, this game has no physics at all, its just fun :P
