Generic padhacking.

Post by Damocles »

When I was in Gamestop yesterday I noticed the generic 360 Gamestop-brand controllers. Are these easy/possible to hack as a pass-thru for a Saturn pad?

is it the black one with kinda angled/sharp hand grips? If so that one is common ground (also is madcatz but gamestop branded), I modded it pretty easily, and also used that flat ribbon cable stuff for the db-15 connector, it fits perfectly through the slot where the connector for the headset is located (while still keeping that connector in place)

I'm not sure exactly, but it looks like what I remember...and the price point is the same.

I know that the first revision on that controller is common ground; I bought one of the newer ones about six months ago and it had several split grounds.

The Madcatz Arcade Gamestick is common ground though, and dirt cheap if you can find it - I got mine in a bundle with Frogger, Time Pilot, and Astro Pop download cards at Gamestop for $10 clearanced. Now I just need to finish hacking it to work with my UPCB before DDP:DOJBL hits. :)
