SCART RGB TO XGA Scaler - anywhere near as good as an XRGB2?

Anybody used one of these for hooking a supergun up to a monitor or LCD?

I'm thinking of ditching the CRT for something tidier and sourcing an XRGB2 in the UK ain't easy (plus I'd need a new Jp RGB scart lead).

I've seen how crisp the picture looks through an XRGB2 in another thread and just wondered if one of these would measure up.

Just pick up an XRGB-2...it can be internally modded to accept Euro Scart RGB spec. So no need to resort to getting a Japanese Scart cable. ^_~

not good, I've tested similar units and they're made for interlaced TV signals, so many of them won't support low-res input from anything else but a PS2 and the scaling isn't very good as well. If you need quality better than a XRGB2, get a XRGB-3, but be aware of the input lag involved with upscaling to XGA.

Really good XGA Upscaling plus minimum delay is available at 600 pounds sterling through the Edge.

Thanks for the advice guys ... I've sourced an XRGB2+ from a member here and should have it soon :)
