Shmups figures

Post by zap »

This may seem like a fanboy thread, but then so be it! :P
The Princess Crown figure thread kind of inspired me. So which figures of characters/ships are out there? They're not too common, right?

Here's the ones I know about:

Fumiko and Niigi from Shikigami no Shiro 2

The recent shmup gashapon set by Yujin

Various garage kits. I can't remember the URL of the place that recasts them... I remember an Ikaruga, R9, Silver Hawk, Vic Viper T-301... there's also a Reco garage kit that SAM is selling on the trading forum atm, and the other one that appeared at the Cave festival.

Also, there's another Exelica figure on the way. You've found the more expensive Alter one. This other one is by toy'sworks. They don't seem to have a page up for it, but there's info here and here (in Japanese).

The R-Type Yujin gachapon looks cool! I have to check that one out.

I think we should stick to official ones. There's not much info about homemade resin kits, and they're usually very limited. And IMO most of them looks crap...

That Senko No Ronde toy is pretty frisky looking.

I've never played the game. I'm interested now, oddly enough. Hrm...

The Toy'sworks Exelica has its own page now. Although it's just a single image.

I think the Alter one looks much better. For me, the price is too steep for any of them, as I don't even play the game.

Those are garage kits, that appears to be the maker's page.

Ah, right. I didn't realize you made a distinction between them. Nevermind then.

I believe that's just another resin kit.

Parodius plushes would be a sweet add to the plush collection.

I couldn't find any shmup gachapons last time in Akihabara. Might have to order from internet.

I would totally buy the little Pentarou seperately. That's all I want.

Ah, someone dug this thread up.
Vic Viper variants (green, blue, WF, G2, G3)
Just the G2 and G3 ones
Unfortunately, Atelier Sai suck at plastic models. The first Vic Viper (sky girls ver) is horrible to build because of the cheapo moulding.

Also, Official page for Changpo

Is there a Sayo from Shikigami no Shiro? I'd love to have a cute shrine maiden on my shelf as an eternal beacon of celibacy.

The G3 Vic Viper comes out in April, the G2 version in May. At least, that's the expected release dates - you'll probably have to add a month or two.

More photos of the Alter Exelica. I would consider ordering it if it wasn't so big and expensive...

Meanwhile in bizarro-world, a random figurine company came up with something that reminds me very strongly of a certain game...

I'm going to order one, they'll make a cool set.

New Reko figure by Max Factory. Due out in march, not on the Max site yet. The propertions look a little off to me. Also this and this. Those photos are probably work safe; the rest of Moeyo is not.

Also, nearly finished vic viper:

I just can't find the motivation to complete this because of the crap moulding. The canards won't stick on, they need to be attached with putty.

Awesome Vic Viper!

It says June on the site for the Reko figure. Doesn't look too shabby but will probably cost a bomb. And let's NOT count Toho figures, there's probably a ton of them
