Charles darwin's birthday today

Post by Lordstar »

Happy 200th birthday without you we would still have all the nutters teaching us all kinds of wacky guesses about all kinds of stuff as where your research is about rational research in to how things change over time. Just notcied google changed its logo for today. Thanks google I would of missed it otherwise.

One of the most misunderstood and purposely slandered men in the history of science.

His lasting legacy : http://www.darwinawards.com/

Ha! That and the 'nutters' who blame him for racism and Eugenics, despite this:

Darwin's Sacred Cause: How a Hatred of Slavery Shaped Darwin's Views on Human Evolution

Can't do much to celebrate today, but this weekend I'm going to the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum where Judge Jones (from the Dover court case) will be speaking. Awesome!

unfortunately here in the US there is a market and a push for more lunacy:

why can't we just deny them medical treatments discovered with the help of "biology"? evolution is its central unifying concept.

I've been reading "the God delusion" recently, so that's my way to say happy BD Charley. :)

Now if only he could look down from a heaven or up from a hell,
I'd wish him a very happy birthday!

Since that ain't happening...
I will be having a beer a bring out a salute on his behalf! :D

Oh and coincidently I donated to charity caring for mistreated apes this week. After all, they are family. Right!?*

*j/k evolution theory isn't THAT straightforward... just mocking :wink

I actually wrote a story today about my fun with creationism at a private school in the 90s and mentioned Darwin's birthday in it. This is also the 90th anniversary of the Piltdown Man hoax, so that got mentioned too.

Dawkins has some good points but I couldn't believe my eyes when I visited his site. Sellout much? And who's saying that Christians are worrying? If you were all logical about it and listened to Christopher Hitchens, then maybe you'd be worried about God's intentions, but the average Christian finds that sort of irrelevant or they have an answer to it. So yeah, I laughed at Dawkins and then I gave him credit for making lossa chedda.
