For me, that means I must have this eventually.

As for the new boss, it seems he's continuing Gill's "last boss who doesn't wear much" tradition, unless I can't see it well due to the scan quality.

Right – apologies if this emerged long ago in this thread, or is already well known, but I couldn’t spot it in the past few pages.

Two days ago I spent an evening with the UK PR manager for Capcom. He’s a good lad and a real SF fan. Anyway – he said to me there will be no arcade release for SFIV outside of Japan for two reasons (two according to him anyhow).

1. The focus on the console/PC releases.

2. This is apparently the main reason. The focus in Japan will consume so much money, time, logistics, servicing etc. etc. that they have decided Japan is their only reasonable market.

I trust the guy that told me as he’s a mate, but I really hope he’s wrong. Sorry if this is old news.

Anyway – SFIV’s arcade build is available to play in the UK for two day’s at least, at Battle Of Destiny in July, so I’ll see you there!

Also, I happen to know Capcom are installing some SFIV cabs in their offices in the UK in London from Tuesday July 1st. If I hear of any open days I’ll let people know...

It's a shame there's likely no arcade release for the US, but at least we'll get to play ports.

New costumes will be available. BTW, did Chun-Li raid Mai Shiranui's wardrobe?

Reminds me of Lei-Fang's bondage gear.

Good thing I already built my SFIV cab. Horizontal 27" VGA monitor, with two 360 pads hacked to the panel.

This is a late comment, but I find the quote funny because Brawl is not only infinitely more broken the Melee, it's very much less fun.

That's just my opinion, though.

so there are probably a few Japanese/Asian 360 owners here who plan on buying this game.

Which version is more desirable?

The Japanese for $85

or the Asian with bonus Calander and DVD for $60 (released 5 days later)

And the Asian is more likely to have the menus complete in Engrish, so this seems like a no-brainer.

Or am I missing something?

edit: there are rumors that this game will be region free on the 360

Anyone else order from Play Asia? My order shipped today and I'm super excited! Unfortunately I won't have my Sticks until the 18th, but it's still going to be awesome!

apparently the people that ordered online through ebgames.com got their TE sticks already. meanwhile the dipshits at the store have "no idea" when they will get their supply in. i don't think the kid working there even knew what i was talking about.

thats pretty much store clerks for you. there are a few dedicated people who know what there selling but for the most part you dont need to know jack shit about games to sell them. I was in Game a few months back in the UK and someone asked me for help becuase all there staff was busy ended up walking out with about 150quids worth of my recommendations.

They did arrive abit earlier than I had expected.

I received my preordered TE sticks - one for 360, one for PS3- from GameStop on preorder. They're simply the best- I've taken the PS3 one for a spin on Soldner-X and Battle Fantasia so far, and will be getting the 360 one out tomorrow (probably for Rush'n Attack & Raiden IV).

Amazon isn't supposed to be getting them until the 20th AFAIR.

Ha! JPJ's nearly right. I got it from Leo at Capcom (It's PAL) for review purposes. But I haven't written a review and I never would until I'd played it properly! And the only place I review for now doesn't run scores with the reviews so no ten-out-of-tens from me!

My wife beat me on our first bout! Shameful!

MadCatz lol

Post by LaserGun »

I've been reading about the MadCatz SFIV hardware on SRK for a bit now. I won't even think of buying this shit now. I'll list what I've read about each piece of hardware.

SFIV Fightpad -

- Complaints about the pad being uncomfortable and too big
- Diagonals are hard to register to the point it's a fluke when they do
- Directions getting stuck until you unplug the pad from the console/PC
- Shitty slow turbo speeds
- Some pads stop working randomly during play

SFIV SE Fightstick -

- Directions getting stuck + stick not going back to neutral (seems like the problem is a washer at the bottom of the stick is actually rubbing against the PCB, causing actual damage)
- Some sticks stop working randomly during play
- Minor cosmetic faults

SFIV TE Fightstick -

- Some sticks have cosmetic faults like stripped screws and scratches
- Stick has stopped working during games for some
- Some are not working with PCs due to driver issues

That's what I've seen so far, I'd just stick with modding a Hori or a custom stick, MadCatz sorting out their act really was too good to be true.
