I finally bought this magazine via mail order service. Cost about 6GBP in total.

Full of anticipation I opened the R-Type article to discover it's an
interview with IREM's Kazuma Kujo. Kujo was the guy who started
at IREM with R-Type Delta for the PSX. Kujo had nothing to do with
the original R-Type. I actually believed that they had gotten hold of
the original designers!

So it's an interview with a guy at IREM who never worked on
the original R-Type

I was hoping it would have been an interview with any of these:

ABIKO, SUMITA, AKIO.O, SHINJI, MISAKO, MASATO, HAMA, KENT.K or JIJEE

Feeling slightly disappointed now...

I wouldn't have done a presentation at University on R-Type, in fact I wouldn't be doing my degree in Games Studies and Digital Media either, I wouldn't be sitting here in a Commodore T-shirt.......

Any online version of your R-Type presentation ? Sounds very interesting

I have a copy of the power point presentation but tbh there is nothing in it you can not find out there in interweb land. The actual presentation was mainly on playing experience so even my notes wouldn't be of an interest to anyone but my lecturer.
