So I've been playing it for a few weeks now and I've noticed certain bosses come in on certain occasions. Like in the highway stage I fought 3 mechs and a ninja, but now I can only fight the green mech. Also, I did some research and figured out to make some bosses appear I need to have certain player ships from the other games. Unfortunately, the only way for me to get these ships is to use the roulette ship select.
Is there any way for me to be able to select the ships normally? Or am I shit out of luck?

To enable guest ships, there's a code to enter that you can find on that page, or you can just turn on the dip switch to enable the option permanently. If you don't know how to do this, go to the high score page and check the link near the top for newbie intro post. If you're getting started and want to learn more, most of the links at the top of the high score page are worth at least a skim.
