I'm quite fond of Idol Master MADs. Basically they take material from the game and shove it together with their own song and styles. Here's my mylist:

http://www.nicovideo.jp/mylist/2812197

Some of them are really well done and they probably take a fair amount of effort to make. But it's not just those, I favorite anything I really enjoy watching.

If you listen to the character voices at the end of the pink sweets sountrack, you'll hear that all of the bosses say a hadou gun attack, although I've only seen the last boss actually use them like in that vid.

Hacha Mecha Fighter - ALL - 32.9M

Ahh. That run had almost as much bombing as a battle bakraid superplay run has dying. Anyway it was nice to see some actual gameplay footage from that game for once, thanks.
And not to make this post totally uncontributive here's something:

to my surprise i have found a MMP 1cc, normal mode using Ikuo the blue ship, with a whopping 240mil score... and the gameplay seems rather familiar...

Doesn't Kiken's run over at SuperPlay count?

He was asking about good scoring replays, Kiken just went for a quick 1cc ignoring the scoresystem completely.
third_strike could do some great replays, other than that there's no hope for good Homura replays.
Same goes for Donpachi, Pink Sweets, Batrider and many more.

Interesting, never seen the game outside the broken emulation in MAME, thanks. What's with all the bombing though? Starts off a little easy too from the looks of things and if there was less bombing perhaps it could be a pretty challenging title.

The bombing is for score, not for survival. Its not like DDP so don't even go there. Its also plenty challenging in the later levels. I've never 1cc'd it on combat mode yet, although I've only given it about a weeks worth of continuous attention.

^^That was actually pretty cool, but was the Cerberus' cockpit really black? Can't seem to remember it.

In Delta it definitely is. Besides the in-game model, the intro movie lists each ship's canopy colour with Cerberus' as black. ^_~ ;]

Recoveries for every loop 2 checkpoint in R-Type and R-Type II.

The second checkpoint in 1-7 was accidentally included in the R-Type vid. Here's the correct footage.

Arle lands a devastating combo (or several). Fiyah!
