Just 1CC'd Contra HC

Post by BUHA »

Yeah, I did it with the robot. It really isn't that hard if you use shot C almost exclusively on all of the bosses. It just does so much damage. But I'm glad I was able to do it anyway. Had 4 lives remaining.

Now it's on to Super C

Super C is a walk in the park next to C:HC. Anyway, which ending did you get?

Nice. The only ones I've ever done are the first NES one and The Alien Wars. HC always seems to kick my ass for some reason.

Let me try to remember

----------------------SPOILERS--------------------------

I remember colonel bahamut saying about how he coulda been a god and then his little thing he was in blew up. and then that was like it. i save stated right after i beat him, so i can check again (but tomorrow, it's on a different computer)

andthen it showed a big pic of my robot guy looking badass.

thats all i can remember. is there a good ending and a bad one or something?

and how many levels does Super C have? i've been to 6th boss 1CC

I played Super C right after i played HC and i'm like WTF my guy is SOOOO SLOW. i mean seriously they must move twice as fast in HC than they do in the NES ones.

Dam I can't remember which one that is

Must have been the train level followed by alien lair with the general turning into a golden ape thing followed by skulls and a heart core?

or that space station big golden statue at the end iirc.

Theres 5 endings the game 4 routes and one hidden ending. for Contra HC

unless theres a 6th I never saw.

lol i dont remember any skulls, or any golden apes!

he created "big magnum" and was gonna blow up earth with it. and he's in the passengers seat of what looks kinda like mother brain. a brain in fishbowl type thing.

i might have to play again if i can get some different endings or see some new bad guys

There are four different endings IIRC, one of which is the secret/joke ending (actually my favorite). You also have to fight different bosses depending on which path you chose.

Super C has around 7 or 8 levels I think, can't really remember.

DUMB NOOB ALERT!

I have a question: What is 1cc?

Are respawning enemies only for the first stage? Because I hate respawning enemies behind me.

Is that where you beat the game using one credit?

Thank you for clearing that up. I apperciate the hospitality. (Did I spell apperciate right?)

Appreciate. Yep, a 1CC is when you beat the game without continuing.

Although, there are some who would argue that continuing on the first level, in a game that starts you at the beginning of the level you continued on, and then beating the game would count as a 1CC. I suppose they're right, they beat the whole game in one credit.

I heard there were cutscenes and FMV in shattered soldier! i was like WTF. and i dunno, i think i'd have a hard time accepting it if it wasn't just like the originals. i;m really stubborn that way.

I actually find Shattered Solider easier than Hard Corps for some reason. It requires TONS of memorization, but I can still play it way better...

If you really want to 1CC Hard Corps, go play the Japanese verison. You get a life bar!

You'll miss out some really cool stuff if you don't go through all of the paths. Some of the end bosses were the best 16-bit stuff I've ever seen. Not on a technical level, but like .
