Why doesn't someone make a new thread? I mean, if it stayed in here we'd have DS, DSMBL, DS360, and DS2 all in one thread. If DS2 and 360 discussions both become active, things could get confusing.

It should probably get it's own thread, no?

AWESOME!

Does anyone know if you can order from Amazon Japan and they'll ship to the US?

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently they do ship to the US!

Oh nice. So which one of you in Japan is capable of preordering one of these for me?

Yeah, I just noticed all the "will not ship outside of Japan" disclaimers attached to everything videogame-related. What a bunch of pricks.....

It's fucked. I can't order anything from the states either. Used to be able to do that via Amazon I thought? Why do gaming companies/sales services like Amazon not want our money?

You don't honestly believe that this decision is made by Amazon, do you?

Currently enjoying playing this game in the Game Centres, although my gaming skills need work (far too many silly mistakes losing lives in the easy bits whilst sailing through the harder bits), so thinking fo getting the 360 port and a 360 before returning home.

BUT, as soon as I get my cred card sorted out Amazon stops offering preorders of the Ltd Edition of the game. Anyone know of any other Japanese online stores worth investigating or am I better off just preordering at a Japanese game shop? Japan only shipping is fine btw.

Thanks.

Enlighten me?

I tried to order Fallout 3 from the states via Amazon.com and they wouldn't ship to Japan on it. Multiple books I've tried to order from the US site would not ship to Japan. Are the publishers making these decisions? In Fallout 3's case I could see it since there was controversy about content in Japan (nuclear bombs), but of course you can get it from play asia. So if play asia carries all this stuff both to and from Japan, are they simply ignoring publisher's requests?

I'm fairly certain that it's Amazon's decision.

Actually, they are scores of the 360-exclusive version 1.1 of the game, as written on the screen.

Yeah seriously. They're simply protecting themselves from the full extent of the jam. (see: lik-sang)

This is not MBL mode, it's a different mode called version 1.1 which comes with the game.

See here:

Basically scores will be quite high in this mode.

This seems like a good thread to ask.

This might sound crazy, but my first exposure to Cave was their MMO co-done with Atlus; Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine.

Since I enjoy that, I figure I should look up what they're most known for.

I've never played any of their shmups, but I've heard all about their reputation.

What's a good start? Also helps to know what it was released on.

If you're not opposed to MAME you'll probably want to get their stuff on that just to sample it - DonPachi, DoDonPachi, ESP Ra.de, Guwange, Dangun Feveron and Progear come most immediately to mind. And maybe Uo Poko for the heck of it. :P

cj: I'm pretty sure you're able to import; grab Espgaluda or Mushihimesama for PS2.

Guwange is the prettiest of those, if you're impressed by flash. At their core they're all top notch however.

Seems like Atlus published most of those games. That explains the relationship.

The Stick's Amazon-exclusive AND limited to only 1 piece per customer. This should make PA's allocation of the stick rather small....

I doubt id ever get one of these arcade sticks. Although this one does look nice. I'd assume the ends are usb? So, realistically this product would be compatible with all 360s.

so is this the same as the high-end Hori's? The new one with a LS-32 stick??
What is the functionality of that clunky tab/box thing up where autofire switches usually are?
