I played this as a kid on some kind of computer, maybe ATARI, really not sure.

Anyway, you had a ship that could only move left or right I think. In each stage you were faced with a number of enemies all present on the screen as the stage starts. The stage ends when you have killed them all. When a stage ends the screen closes like it was a metal door, and opens again when the next stage starts. When you die, the game over screen is a city in flames.

Every couple of stage is a boss stage with just a big ship on the screen.

One of the weapon upgrades you could get was some kind of thin grey laser thingy that attached to your ship. You could get up to 4 of those attached I think.

I think most of the bullets shot at your ship were following a vertical trajectory (from top to bottom).
