Post by evil_ash_xero »

I am looking for one of the original Logitech PS2 pads. WITH CORD. I can't find one for sale anywhere(new), and mine is acting up.

Any help?

What is ebay?
Or open it up and dust it off a bit and gently put back together.
Maybe place wanted adds on local marketplace websites. Call game shops/write them e-mails.

The build quality is better than other 'fake PS2 pads', I've played on a lot of Dualshock clones which have had a variety of input errors and faults.

I haven't tried a Logitech, but you can't knock him trying to find another one. Controllers are a very personal thing. Once you get used to one that you like, it can be difficult to adjust to something else. If the controller you like breaks and you can't find another one, it can be frustrating... Playing games with another controller just isn't the same.
That's why everybody should keep stock of 3 or 4 spare of their favorite controller, so they will have them for the next 40 or 50 years even when you can't buy them anymore. :)

I don't know what I'd do without my Hori Anashin. In fact I only have one so I better seriously start thinking about getting spares.

Maybe it sounds crazy to some people, but I think most of you know what I am talking about. :D
If more 2D people would go to the 2D Gaming Forum, there would be more people to talk about 2D games with other 2D fans on the tootie gaming forum. It's 2Dlicious. For real yall

I had a 10-player official Saturn pad set up once for playing bombermand with 10 people once. Does that count?
sold it
These are my current controllers:
2 ps1 controllers
2 ps3 sixaxis
1 Dreamcats controller
2 GC wired
1 Wavebird
2 USB Sega Saturn pads for pc and ps3

maybe a nice new thread. List all your controllers :D

Try the cordless Logitechs. They're REALLY good ones.

On a whim, I bought one of those 1st generation Logitech PS2 wireless controllers that uses 4 "AAA" batteries for some added heft. I couldn't detect any lag whatsoever with it. However, it is bigger than a Dual Shock 2 controller setup. Logitech came out with a smaller 2nd generation PS2 wireless controller as well.

The wireless adapter hooks up to either player 1 or 2 game controller port on the PS2 and works quite well for what it does. ^_~

I remember some folks were wishing that SCEI would make/release a 1st party wireless Dual Shock 2 controller but that never came to be. After much he-hawing around, SCEI finally released a wireless Dual Shock 3 controller with SixAxis functionality and dual shock motors. Still expensive at $54.99 USD a pop! During the 2008 "Black Friday" holiday shopping season, Walmart was selling the Dual Shock 3 controllers for a mere $34.99 USD as a special incentive to buy them at a cheaper price than at retail. ^_~

Nah, the 1st Gen Logitech wireless PS2 pads suck. I've got a couple of 2nd Gen ones though, and they're GREAT.

Yep, that's what happens when Logitech's R&D decides to make things a tad bit better with their 2nd gen products. By listening to customer feedback and helpful user suggestions, will the 2nd gen version of any product be better refined from most companies (most of the time...not always). ^_~

Well, i'll go ahead and try out the cordless one.

The reason I like the Logitech pads is because the pad itself is far looser than Sony's.

Good for 2D gaming.
