C'mon. None of you really expect the superplay DVD to be included do you? From a budget publisher with a budget price? You're kidding yourselves.

Jack up the price a bit, include the obligatory Superplay DVD and you're in business. Why not break tradition and include one for the U.S. shmup niche market? ^_~

sad thing to say but the only reason I will be getting this is so I can play the fighters series at full speed instead of on my computer with major slowdown.

If they're hoping for anyone but the devoted handful of shmup fans to buy this, there's no way they're going to release it at full price - remember, rule number one of modern gaming is that ALL titles like this "probably should have been ten-dollar XBLA releases," regardless of quality. Frankly, if ditching the DVD gives this thing better chances, then I'm all for it - as long as the game itself is intact I could care less about the rest.

I never really liked Raiden or Raiden II, but Raiden Fighters is a different story. Great news!

I still need to get my NTSC-J 360 but I'm holding off on that until DDP BLEX actually comes out.

It looks like several of the comments on the Kotaku thread about this are pretty much saying just that. Given the fact that I paid $150 for my RF2 board (and I think about $100 for Raiden Fighters) that's a pretty good price.

wouldn't be surprised considering the JPN version still retails for more than $30. I'm sure the jpn publisher doesn't want to have competition...

They could always just give it a limited edition that had the superplay. that way the niche could get what they desire and at the same time help boost sales.

I guarantee that this game is on ZOO's internal release schedule. See my previous post on the first page on why this is real news.

Also for anyone that is still thinking that a superplay DVD is possible. Look at this publisher's previous releases on why such an idea is completely ridiculous.

We don't know that yet. It is also not known whether this will be region free.

Don't most people who already wanted this game have it by now?

If they REALLY wanted it then yes. If they wanted it but not enough to buy a JPN 360 then no.

Vote with your wallet

Post by trunk »

I say pre-order away fellas! Don't wait for this one to hit any kind of bargain bin. Support this effort-

Here, Here. The only way to vote for these rare(as in not so often), tasty releases is with your wallet. This would be nice to be pre-ordered at full price(if it can be done), besides you don't need to wait for a review of it, you already know it's fantastic. (well in some cases: KOF Orochi USPS2 was not made well compared to JPS2 version)

In terms of region locking there are a few US games that do it which in this case would not be good for me but I'd support the cause anyway. I figure I'll pick up a US 360 at some point much later down the road for newer hardware and cheaper price reasons. The Hardware will be there but will this gem be at a later time?

Weird shit . . .I signed up for a Japanese Live Account to play the demo and they gave me a Gold Subscription for what looks like a month.

Anybody else had that ???

Without the ability to use tate it looks crap on my 20" HD TV, though . . .

Why not buy it on day one of release with a pre-ordered reservation (and that problem of not knowing if it will still be available on USA retail shelves will be solved). Then buying a XBox 360 would be the last piece of the puzzle needed in order to play it properly. ^_~

It's possible to create 3 additional accounts and get a bonus month on each of them. Additional accounts after that won't apply as it's only 3 accounts per console.

Ha! I just bought a JPN 360 and stick plus RFA and RIII pretty much for thos games, and now there's a hint that a European release might be a reality! Oh well! At least I get the option to get some other shmups...

Anyway, I have a contact at Zoo Digital UK. I don't know him too well, but I'll shoot him an email at Lunch time today...

Yeah don't worry, there's a bunch of great Japan only games, so I think it's still worth it.
