i just watched the demo footage and wow. looks moody and fun as hell.

i am very happy that 3drealms still has some steam.

also, seeing as this is a FPS and it will be on 360, and 360 has usb ports. does this mean mouse and keyboard support?

Well technically the game is by HumanHead, not 3dRealms. humanhead has been working on it for the past few years (i think in 2003 someone let it slip that they were doing it, but no one belived it). Since it's the same company that gave us the badass viking game, "Rune", I'm really looking forward to it.

3DRealms doesn't do much other than publish and exploit anymore. Thank god they wised up and quit raping the fuck out of the Duke Nukem license...they actually let someone make a Duke Nukem hunting game at one point (and after it was completed they canned the project and GeorgeB went on record as saying, "No more crappy Duke Nukem games". I wish they had that policy before Planet of the Babes and Zero Hour came out :\ ).

Hopefully 3drealms won't pull a rockstar and take full credit for the game.

MS have stated they will only be allowing the X360 keyboard to be used for chat functions and not for gameplay control. The mouse might be a possibility though.

Wow! I had wondered if the title referenced what I thought that it referenced... They're still working on this? I thought that it was canned! Well, I suppose I see that it was, but brought back by this "HumanHead."

I remember seeing screen shots way back, and liking them a lot. To me, Prey will look better than any next-generation title, even if it actually looks dated, simply because of the history. It was the beautifulest FPS that I had ever seen! I also tried to recreate some of the scenes in the screen shots using Duke Nukem 3D's BUILD level editing utility.

I hope that the game ends up being as heartful and enveloping as I had imagined it to be, nearly ten years ago!

No idea. They had recorded some tracks back in 97/98 for it and apparently had fulfilled their obligation to the project at the time before it entered development hell. It'd be great if they were included in the finished product, even if they were only on there as bonus material, similar to Megadeth's cover of the Duke Nukem 3D theme on the Plutonium Pak cd

anyway, development correction noted. i am actually surprised after playing Rune. looks like they really turned their asses around.
