What other forums do you regularly check?
I check Shoryuken.com and SMSpower.org
For fighting games and SMS games respectively.
What sites do you check for other games/systems, etc.

Shmups.com is pretty much the only forum I regularly frequent. I will go on the gamefaqs forums if I need help or have a game specific question. Yes there are alot of children on the gamefaqs boards but if you need to know about a particular game (thats not a shmup mind you
) there really is no better place to get the info. Some people on this board are unable to grasp this concept...oh well.

I visit the Gamespy forums and the Gamefaqs.com forums, too.
I posted like three topics at the Sega forums and then I was like, "Screw this."
IRT to Jon:
When did you sign up for their boards? I tried to sign up (I had a account there at one time.) But at the sign up thing, they wanted my address. I was like, "Hell, no." So why would gamefaqs need my home address?

Yeah, pop'n is an expensive game to get into. I started with the small konami controller, but when I got my Ransai, I spent months doing things to get money to pay back my parents. :/captain ahar wrote:those ransai controllers look to kick some ass. i desperately want some pop n music, but can't afford it yet.flux wrote:I mostly check bemanistyle.com and vjarmy.com and sometimes ddrfreak.com and aaroninjapan.com.
Well, I have been a member for awhile now so I dont remember the sign up specifics but I am sure my home address was never asked for...odd.dtdg wrote: IRT to Jon:

The only other board I post regularly in is TNL (the-nextlevel.com). There are some real assholes there, and it's not n00b-friendly at all, but I've been posting there for over 3 years now and their Veterans' Board is pretty great (hooray for porn!).
I have accounts at the following forums, but I don't post there very much, if at all:
- GameFAQs
- RIGG (Retro ISO Gaming Guild, PC-Engine ISO/discussion community)
- The Dragon's Den (Dragon Quest/Warrior stuff)
- kenandrews.com (his band projects are among my favorite music)
- Project Aon (Lone Wolf gamebook site. Pure geek shit)

http://www.retrogames.com (warning, newbs and assholes)
Used to post at InsertCredit for a while but it really wasn't my thing. I guess the shack isn't really my thing either (I don't really care about most of the stuff posted, no one cares about my posts, but eh...i have a lot of friends there)
Started hanging out at http://www.panzerdragoon.net just to lurk and see what the Panzer Dragoon community is like (initial impressions: poorly educated WRT emulation/emulators, extremely biased, slightly elitest). Can't wait to see their negative feedback on my PDS video project.

Hehehe... oy, I should just go there and post my PD collection and leave.

"Plushie Lagi!?"
"How many soundtracks? Our site is missing like, 3 or 4!"
"Where did he get that model?"
And the list goes on... for awhile. Heh.
Though fuck their feedback on your PDS video project, thats a great idea IMO, if any game deserves such treatment its PDS.
At any rate, back on topic:
I frequent:
IGN: Simply because I grew attached to the DC community back in the day. Mind you, jackasses like impreza and Menace2Society have pretty much devastated those boards... but whatever. The mods there are all pricks I might add.
Neo-Geo.com: Jorge aka xtoo_shortx sent me there, and I like it alright. Steve seems pretty cool, and there are some great deals in their trading station. Also the random/completely dumb flame wars are fun to read.

Horrorcore.com: I like the genre, what can I say. Its also one of those mindless boards where everyone bashes everybody else, so its good fun.
The UBB: Old old old old old Bone thugs n harmony forum that ceased being a Bone thugs n harmony forum. Now its just general discussion for the people who are in the "tight net clique". Though I rarely visit these days...
Edit:
Just glanced at the panzerdragoon.net boards... and given a lot of the topics I honestly doubt these people have ever read a single interview with Tomohiro Kondo or any of Team Andromeda... might not even know who Kondo-san is! Oh well, waste o' time, will never register.

Here and GameFAQs mostly, with the odd post at the Doomsday forum. I've got an account at WipeoutZone's forum but have never posted there.

I only frequent here and Gamefaqs. Sometimes I go to the forums at www.anime-conan.net because I like Detective Conan.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"

I post on Gamefaqs occasionally as well. I also post on Digital Press' boards (http://www.digitpress.com) semi-regularly. They're busy as hell, and there are quite a few people on there that really know their stuff, but they're more about collecting games than playing them.
I like the Japan gaming boards on GaijinPunch's site but since so many people from those boards overlap with here and Digitpress (including GaijinPunch himself
)... I don't feel much need to post there too.

Hmmm... I may have to sign up there.

I frequent Infidel Guy's website (www.infidelguy.com), has a live radio show a few times a week. Check Click Stick's forum every once in a while also.

I must read this forum several times a day.
Then I'll usually check gameFAQs. I'll post something once in a while, but topics usually die one or two posts after I post in them, and topics I create hardly ever get replies and are buried almost instantly. Not to be cocky, but I get the feeling I'm too intelligent for them.
Just look at the posts here. We have such a high concentration of posts with well-formed sentences and proper use of punctuation and capital letters; such a phenomenon seems to be quite a rarity on large internet message boards.
As for other boards, once in a while I'll lurk around on click-stick's boards to catch up on news but I can't remember if I ever posted anything. I'll also snoop around pcenginefx, magicenginefx, and pocketheaven boards but they are incredibly slow-moving.

I post mostly here, but also read:
http://www.puzzlepirates.com/community (forums for PuzzlePirates, a puzzle-based MMOG I play on occasion. I stick mostly to the offtopic and Mariner's Muse (art type stuff) boards there;
http://www.hardforum.com (computer stuff. I stick mostly to the Mobile Computing and Cars sections these days, but read some of the others on occasion. The games forum over here is OK, but tends toward drooling looney fanboyism on a regular basis.)
I also read quite a few Blogs with fairly active comment sections, and a couple of boards for small groups I've been involved with in the course of MMOG playing. Here at work there's some interesting public folders on the Exchange servers too that I read (the XBox one in particular is interesting. A lot of the people who work on the platform and inpost there frequently, but the rules prohibit discussion of anything under NDA, so there's no info there that isn't publically available.)

I used to post at the Politics and Society board at PAHardcore.com but there's too many douchebags. It's like arguing with a brick wall. Nowadays, I only post/read here.
Feedback will set you free.
