Hm, interesting. I already have the JP version and played it quite a bit, but I could see myself getting the localization just to really play Guadia Quest properly. And to read the gaming magazines.
Also, Haguruman games are just awesome.

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

So, it's going to be released in the US in early February. I'm looking forward to hands-on impressions from forum members? Who's picking this one up?
Edit: how are the games, Ghegs? Are they just a novelty for nostalgia factor, or are they actually fun and engaging?

Heh, funny how the site proclaims "Travel back in time to the Famicom era", as opposed to NES era. Maybe they're assuming people are familiar enough with the word Famicom.
And they changed Haguruman to Haggle Man? Sounds like a Mega Man boss reject...

They vary a bit, some are genuinely fun and some you just play to get access to the later games (=Cosmic Force and Rally King). Star Prince is a competent Super Star Soldier-clone. I really had the most fun with the two first Haguruman games, I played them enough to no-miss both loops of one of them (forgot which). They're basically variations on Ninja Jajamaru-kun, but roughly 100x more fun.Turrican wrote:Edit: how are the games, Ghegs? Cool, 1up has a blog from xseed with chronicles of the localization process.

Why not? HAE, LETS PLAY BIDEO GEMU LOL! That said if they are too careless with the changes it could get nasty. (Haven't read Turrican's link yet)Ghegs wrote:And they changed Haguruman to Haggle Man?
"Famicom" apparently has penetrated the West enough that people know what it is. Certainly the people who will play this game are more likely to know.
On the whole this sounds pretty exciting. And...
...and...
Hey what's this?
p.s. The dude in overalls for Rally King reminds me of the professor teaching the Postmodernism class, lol. Will have to show him this.KORG DS-10

You know, I want that Korg DS-10 synthcart.
After reading a review of it, I really want it. A LOT.

Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Re: Game Center CX: Arino no Chousenjou
Necro-bump for some potentially interesting news: not only is there a new Game Center CX in development for the 3DS, but G. Rev is handling it.
Re: Game Center CX: Arino no Chousenjou
I'll miss indieszero
But G-Rev should do okay!
Funny to see that Korg DS-10 synthcart again, since today I learned that there's an expanded version - also on the 3DS.

Nice. We may have missed the second, but I think the eShop may raise our chances of getting this one.

I didn't even knew such games existed. Whoa, I wish I hadn't missed the DS ones.
I just hope that Grev puts a shooting game on it.
