lol- that release date looks suspect to me- but maybe I'm wrong? I can't remember hearing that this one was even in the works.

Should be true. A friend of mine has been talking to some guy working at Success back in september or october last year and he already mentioned that they were currently preparing a US conversion. He asked me to not to disclose it though until it's somehow official.

Imagine how long US Shmuppers have been waiting for a release of a Raiden Fighters game on a home console. Almost 13 years since the release of the First RF until this year. About time.

I may get a 360 just for this gem.

I'll have to pick it up again too, RFJ was the first shmup i ever palyed and i have to stay loyal to it. I sincerely doubt it, but does anyone know if it will it be bundled with the superplay?

Me, I've got the JP game with the superplay so no big deal but I guess I'll get this version as well.

Yeah, I doubt it's going to be a huge success for them. Still good to see somehow that companies take the risk to release such ports. Though after all I actually don't care much since I own the Japanese version anyway.

looks promising. hard to resist for $30. I never wanted to put down $60+ for the JP version but I could pay $30 on a heart beat.

Well, it's about damn time another bona-fide console shmup title is released in the USA for the XBox 360. I'm quite content to play Raiden Fighters PCB as it was originally meant to be played with the appropiate arcade hardware setup. ^_~

And will the Raiden Fighters Superplay DVD be included with the USA localization this time around?

Play-Asia has the Jpn region listed at $74.95 new (+ shipping). $30 is a steal (especially considering for RF1 /2 /3 you'd be looking at $350-450 buying the pcbs I think).
