Poor old guy - he was a popular photographer. I wonder why he got into depression and alcohol that way. :(

Even if he was causing lot of trouble to all the flat, beating an old man to death is something miserable.

If more 2D people would go to the 2D Gaming Forum, there would be more people to talk about 2D games with other 2D fans on the tootie gaming forum. It's 2Dlicious. For real yall

"We will miss his friendship and his singing and poetry recitals as he walked home past our bedroom window."

[edit - link removed]

one of the neighbours obviously being sarcastic, but it still got printed anyways.

that was from last monday's issue

it says that the incident occured at 4:30am in that article from last monday. but *actually* the victim himself rang the police from his flat at 1:30am saying someone was trying to break his door in. but cos he was so drunk, and talking lots of other shit, the police didn't bother to check it out. 4:30am is when he was found in a pool of blood in the hallway, and then taken to hospital. 10am is when the police actually bothered to show up :? playing the tape of his phone call back, they say you can actually hear someone smashing stuff against the door in the background. what's really sad is that the landlords, local council, and police had enough warnings about the situation, but not enough was done and the tension ended up spilling into violence...

turrican: there wasn't a murder weapon, just bare hands :o

i'm not that surprised though. i remember one time when his elderly mother came to visit, and he was shouting at her "you deserved to be married to a wife beater!" etc. =/

don't quote me on it, but another guy from number 6 complained about him a lot to the landlords, and says he was either on his final warning, or had already been served his 30 day eviction notice.

a guy i work with said to me the other day "i'm about to put some music on now. if it's too loud, just tell me okay?" :)

rgc: can you imagine me sat in a cell updating the DOJ score tables  nah, i'm still toying with the idea of cancelling my internet.

thanks for the kind words though folks :) thankfully there isn't any police surveilance going on now (for the first week, we've had police posted out the front door 24 hours a day), hopefully i wont have to give evidence. the trial starts at the end of january. there's some more i want to say, but i'll wait til after the conviction

bit of both mate. it's taking up too much time and money. my laptop has decided it doesn't wanna work with ggpo (online street fighter 2) properly anymore, and that's all i really use it for. would be good to get away and concentrate on enjoying the games i have and getting better at them. but i get the nagging feeling that as soon as i do a 20 million replay for pink sweets will show up, or something equally annoying

Sounds rough. I'd be out of there so fast.

Actually I'd never enter the UK to begin with, but that's another story.

All things in moderation.... this is of course coming from someone whose main job is in the IT field, and whose side job is internet-based.

I know exactly how neighbours from hell can make you grab a claw hammer and take care of business.
There's generally only two ways of dealing with such a situation:-
1. Sell up and leave.
2. Get the toolkit out and contact the local Kosovans.

I guess there's a third  - See if you can get them evicted, but this is less likely to happen than the first two choices.

If you've never had a neighbour from hell, then you can't appreciate the above. I have a friend who is currently going through a neighbour from hell situation. The guy is being abusive to his face and doing other things. My friend is going for option 1 - leaving. Option two can come later :P .

GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE OK Mr jpj.

Option 3: if you can't get him to stop annoying you by law just ANNOY THE FUCK BACK!
Loud grindcore music all day can work wonders if your neighbours have to move out.
(Presuming that he does the same and there were no consequences for him)
Just never threat or hurt him or damage his property, everything else is cool.
