Sengoku pack coming to Europe

Post by takohiko »

they're sticking with the original English arcade names, Samurai Aces and Tengai.

The box art looks a bit half-arsed, but hell, it could be much worse.

These are the same distributors localizing the Dragon Blaze & Sol Divide pack for EU, and who did XII Stag before that. Looks like EU shmuppers have a lot of good stuff to look forward to, if this company keeps picking up shmups and releasing them at budget prices.

as much as i hate XII stag, i must say the pal version was tight.
so very good news, maybe i wont have to spend 70 euros after all.

what annoys me tho is that gunbird pack is STILL not released in france, what the fuck are they doing?

it was scheduled 17 may a while ago, and now its june 10, weird...the game has been out forever in england.

I may end up trying to recruit someone over there to pick up many of these budget games for me...

Don`t like both games too much, but I will buy the package anyway. Even if I do only to support shmup PAL releases...

That's really awful boxart. Unless it's a sports title, photos of real people are just tacky for boxart. And it doesn't give any information on what kind of game it is, it looks like just another me-too samurai game.

That's probably intentional to help sales.

It's a shame really as the PAL Gunbird collection box art was quite good.

FEATURES:
- If you study the enemy attack, you will always find an escape route. Keep out of the bomb‘s way!
What an awesome feature.

But nice of them to courage their customers.

For the boxart, it really looks like some kind of Onimusha game. This way some people will propably buy this game and end up very dissapointed. ...but maybe some of them will get used to shmups and become more interested in this kind of game. They may find out that these games can be fun too. Not only 3D Survival Horros, FPS or Sport games...

It always seems to take a while before these games are available in all PAL countries. Italy is a good place to start looking since 505 Game Street is an Italian company but Australia also seems to get them early on. XII Stag, for example, is pretty easy to find here in Sweden now but I could have bought it on ebay.com.au a few months before it came out here.
