Street Fighter 4 Controller

Post by evil_ash_xero »

You guys looking forward to this?

It looks like it's based on the Saturn pad. Maybe this'll finally end the "360 pad of sorrow"'s reign.

I pre-ordered the Ken one, since it looks the least stupid. I would rather it be pure black or white or something.

I'm glad it doesn't have a stick at all, so the pad can be higher up. That's my problem with my Hori pad...the pad is a bit too far to the right, and a little low. I need perfect control while playing Ikaruga, dammit!

http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Real-Arc ... 178&sr=1-7

for no art work and a nice soild base its perfect for me X-D
If I get the cash on time I will get on the sticks and buttons order on ArcadeOtaku too and pimp it out that way

I was looking forward to it, but, madcatz doesn't always make the best controllers.

You know that you can use Saturn USB pads with PS3, which usually cost about half of that madcatz controller on ebay (there currently aren't any because of the Chinese holidays, but they'll be back)? They don't have a select-button, but that's hardly a problem when playing fighters.

I'm not a pad person either, but those look somewhat promising. Definitely better than a stock 360/PS3 pad. Still, stick wins out every time for me. I kind of wish I had a PS3 for SFIV. I'd buy an HRAP without hesitation. They're only $90 compared to the $130 for the 360 version. Total bullshit.

I'll be attempting to stick a wired 360 controller PCB in my now gutted Hori EX2. This thing died on me after only having it for a couple of weeks. So pissed as I can't go back to playing HD Remix on a pad now. Hopefully I'll have it finished before SFIV drops.

yeah, microsoft rapes third party manufacturers for licensing the security chips from them. that being said, it still seems like hori is ripping off their customers.

if you haven't already, pick up one of those fugly "arcade stick" controllers like this one. the pcb is real easy to hack and the controllers can be found dirt cheap at most used game shops.

I have one of the ps2 pads kinda like that one. The layout is nice but the buttons stink, they have to be pushed pretty far in and just feel weird.

Indeed.

I'll be getting one too as ANYTHING is better than the shit dpad on the standard 360 controller.

I'm gonna get one of these but yesterday I noticed they're all kind of ugly. I think I'm torn between Chun Li and Blanka. If the Chun Li one was all blue it'd look a little better. Is Chun Li anywhere near as cheap in SFIV as she is in Third Strike? If so I might as well get that one since I'll be using her.

Yeah, I almost had one of those, but it got outbid on eBay and it was cheaper to just get a used official MS wired pad in the end. Weird, I know. I don't understand why anyone would want that thing for any reason other than to gut it for the PCB.

I'll pick one up at least. I recently picked up Battle Fantasia (any good?) and will eventually get SF4. The coloring sucks, but I don't really care as long as the d-pad and buttons are good.

Nah she's pretty mid-tier in this one thankfully. On the other hand Blanka's pretty high.

wow Blanka is high tier huh?! there is a suprise. I wonder what the home port exclusive characters are going to be like? Will the balance change to the arcade port and when is SF4.2 going to drop becuase if I was an arcade op and i had paid XXXX to import two vewlix, two X2 mobos and 2 SFIV softs I would be hella pissed to hear if there was not an update to the arcade. Even tekken 6 has been held back somewhat with its home ports to increase the number of coins are going though the arcade.

Why a surprise? Blanka has enjoyed high tier status before in SF2T and CVS2. Anyway, the general assumption is that Capcom will release a free upgrade for the arcade to match the console version. And I think you forgot an X in that price. :D

yeah but there were at least two games before that where Blanka was a bit pants. Alpha he was middle tier and vs SNK he was also a bit ok.
