PCE Summer Carnival ´93 question

Post by Palmer Eldritch »

Booting up my version of SC93, I´m faced with a blue screen containing the words "Warning" and "Ram" (twice) in between a lot of japanese.

Nothing further seems to happen, which makes me wonder whether the DUO-R has some sort of internal RAM, that´s now full, an issue I´ve never been aware of.

Happen to anybody else? Solutions/Suggestions will be much appreciated.

All the DUO's indeed have an internal memory where the high-scores, game saves and such are saved by the games that support the feature. You can see what you have in there by pressing Select instead of Run at the "PC Engine Super CD-Rom System: Press Run Button" -screen you get when you start up the machine without a hu-card.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Just remembered that myself. Everything´s fine now. Game´s running smoothly once again.
I never actually did figure out exactly what I had saved because it was all in japanese though.

A lot of CD games make a save file containing your control settings and high scores - even if you don't actually change your controls, it saves them anyway in some cases.

Really? My US Duo displays all the save files in English, even imports.
