You can play Rayforce with MAME, and once you have that installed you're set up for a world of wonderful games.

And, if you set up MAME [and have a pretty decent box [faster than 1.8 GHz, and even still, use a frameskip of 8]], you can play RayStorm.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Soukyuugurentai (aka Terra Diver) is based on that game mechanic as well of targeting things in the background. Doesn't run so well on MAME for me but the Saturn version is ace.
If more 2D people would go to the 2D Gaming Forum, there would be more people to talk about 2D games with other 2D fans on the tootie gaming forum. It's 2Dlicious. For real yall

I think you need special Taito BIOs to play in MAME. It is more complex than "just play it in mame".
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

I've gotten it to run, but it's kind of slow. Not slow like radiant silvergun slow but still a little choppy.

It really isn't, since a lot of romsets tend to include the bios in them.

If you're referring to Terra Diver, RSG runs MUCH faster than it does.

Same could be said for the Sega ST-V cartridge version of Souky as well with it's blazing fast boot up on a candy cab or Supergun setup (and none of that slow-ass CD drive loading times to muck around with). ^_~

Souky is great. I like the Saturn version. Mostly because it's the only version I can actually play. >_>

Same here. Sure, there's some slowdown, bla bla, but there's the completely BROKEN ship that's fun to play with. :)
