I think I missed you spadgy, I ended up double booking the day and left 7:30 until 10:00 :)

I did meet Chi and mr_m0nks though, and it was good fun... despite the MMP stick still being fubar and the BlazBlue machine already broken... sigh.

Casino = rubbish.

How they expected to put Blazblue in an old Electrocoin cab and not have it overheat I don't know. Still could someone let me know if it's back up and running again before next weekend? If so I'm going to come down to London for a few games.

Apparently it's the only cab they have with a HD screen.

Good to see a few of you there on Friday - and sorry I missed you Taylor.

CHI, where did you go? Just as we started chatting, Cola got involved in his own special way, and next thing I know you'd vanished from sight. Sorry our conversation lasted less than ten seconds!

So, MMP is fixed with a lovely new stick, and me and mr_m0nk's are both a little rubbish but had a lot of fun. I could have stayed playing all night if I didn't have to dash off.

A RupertH, I was delighted to discover Amazon are out of Hori EX2's and are were charging something like £40 or £50, so having paid £16 cash + £40 of trading in crap modern games wasn't too bad.

And m0nks - had a go at Fallout 3 yet? I hope you like it.

And finally - Skykid - so you might be in London this weekend, and guess what - I'm off down to sussex for a house party. It really does seem that every time you leave the count I enter it. One day that House of the Dead 'VHS' will be yours. Perhaps I should just tuck it behind a cab at Casino!

Fucking... NO! Don't do that!

There's a possibility I won't be down in London on the weekend - it depends on how some of the events pan out during the week. I'll let you know nearer the time if you think there's a chance of catching up. What are you up to during the day? You can pop round for a go on the E2 and get your ass handed to you on the Japanese version of Progear if you like?
:D

Of course I won't!

I'll just leave it with a tramp on Tottenham Court Rd... Actually, Rupert can't be trusted

Anyway - for the weekend I'm actually over Eastbourne way for a mate's leaving do, in the tiny village of Herstmonceux... which isn't in France despite the name...

Yeah Fallout 3 is great, a little hard compared to Oblivion but great none the less.

I wanted to get my hands on one of these recently. I've got a shit load of CEX vouchers - do you get any in Rupert?

Spadge, did you trade in some of your mainstream junk at game focus for the Hori EX2? I might need to follow this course of action - I have about four copies of High School Musical sitting here.

Should do. You should have to pay them to take it off you.

I like the idea but get so bored instantly when playing this :( I don't understand why it got such high marks at all, what people like about this game.

It's because it is instantly boring, but if you give it a couple of hours and are prepared for a long haul, it's one of the most engrossing games in forever.

Casino was the busiest i have ever seen it last night, must have been well over 50 people wandering around, almost every fighter cab was in constant use when i was there, guess thats what happens when Blazblue is working.

Was good to meet up with Taylor and Chi though, and thanks to Chi for explaining MMP to me

Yeah, it was packed tight. The 3rd Strike and Guilty Gear cabs in Troc are dead so they all came down to Casino, and all the Tekken 6 spectators came down to check out BlazBlue. The engineer was fixing up the machines and when he opened Mushi I asked him if he could pop into service mode and reset the (screwed up) scoretables, but he said there's no such thing... I left it.

As far as I know, even reseting Mushi boards doesn't help in the long run. I may be wrong though.

That's a shame about Mushi.. is it even saving scores on Maniac now, or is it just sticking those same few scores over everything?

I'm not sure, I don't think I can beat the bugged score :P

It'll be interesting to see what happens, with #1 being lower than #2 and all. I still love our record breaking Ultra table.

Edit: Oh, and I'll be down today around 2ish. Intention is to play BlazBlue, though.

I dunno if I should learn Maniac just too see if it'll make things even worse on there :D

I guess the screen is still dodgy?

The screen is much clearer now... but the engineer opened it up and doubled the horizontal overscan for whatever reason. First they giveth, then they taketh away.
