PC version of Shikigami no Shiro

Post by Mischief Maker »

I'm considering picking up a pc copy of Shikigami 2 or 3. I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know if this game requires the CD in the tray?

2. Which game is better? I've heard some say they prefer 2 over 3.

I really prefer Shikigami no Shiro EX (arcade mode) over 2 e 3 versions.
The score strategies in Shiki (I) is incredible, based in time and score, with one lot of beautiful boss killing/fast milking.
In other hand it is the version harder.

Cool!

This is the optimal boss 2-2 score/fast kill strategy (for Kuga) in Shikigami no Shiro (I):

5 seconds: fast, beautiful and worth!
I love this game :D!

I preferred ShikiII, which looked, played and felt better than the third one. I haven't played the PC port yet though, only the 360 and Wii versions. Among those, I'd recommend the 360 one.

LOL, why? The Wii version actually has a cheap English release, and if you're not planning on getting an arcade stick, Classic controller is the best you're gonna get.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Well if you have a US Wii sure this might be a cheap option. I have Japanese consoles, so I am playing the Japanese versions.

From my point of view, the 360 version looks sharper (thanks to HD) and I unless I am mistaken, I think the Wii version has occasional slowdowns.

It's been well over a year since I last installed it, so I can't remember off hand, but I know I have a crack for it somewhere, which I use for all 3 games so I don't have to keep the discs laying around every time I want to play.

3 is much more graphically involved, but 2 seems to have the better gameplay IMO. Also, I can run 2 at a really high res on my system, but 3 tends to bog it down.

Shiki III PC will play without the disk in the tray yes.

I like them both but I find III more frusterating. Thanks to the level with the hidden blocks.

No, this game is not Space Invaders.

I like III better, but you can't go wrong with any of the two.

I perfer the Shiki 2, and i personally think the PC port is perfect. Can't go wrong with it. Though it does require a disk on tray to play. You can alway ask me for a NCD patch.

I... er... acquired COMPLETELY ETHICALLY all three Castle Shikigami games for the PC. 3 will always be my favorite because it was my first, but they're all really good.
