PS3 does 480p/576p over SCART?

Yep, the option is there. I searched the net over looking for a good PS3 to VGA solution, no one seems to know that it can do it natively (almost).

Your monitor will just need to take composite sync. Won't most hi-res arcade monitors? And what sync line should I feed the c-sync to? H or V, or both?

Why should/how can the ps3 do 480p over scart?
I'm not even going to try. Sony must have disabled this.

my firmware is current, and the option is there.

My Wei Ya chassis accepts composite sync.

well, we aren't exactly sure that is how the sync is supplied. It might be sync on green like the PS2 linux kit.
