So Phil, have you gotten to the bottom of this problem yet?

Hope it is nothing to be concerned about. I sleep funny on my arms all of the time and they feel temporarily funny but nothing should last more than a few minutes after you wake up.

The doctor said the earliest he can see me is Friday. It's still the same, I still really can't feel much.

This sucks because I got a new guitar for Christmas, too.

Sounds like a slight stroke or a pinched nerve. Since strokes at your age are rare, hopefully it's the latter.

If it's a stroke, then that means you have a blood clot inside your brain, which requires immediate medical treatment (thrombolysis) to avoid permanent damage. I'd go to an emergency room this instant; this is serious.

Yeah for real. I would have gone to the emergency room right away if it didn't go away after 5 minutes. Forget your family doctor. The emergency room is always there if you need it, trust me, people go in for stupid crap all the time like a splinter in their finger. Do you want to lose your arm? Die? You never know what could be wrong. It is not normal.

GO TO THE HOSPITAL.

Don't worry about the copay/etc. You can talk to their financial counseling department and get a charity discount most likely. That's what they do at the hospital where I work anyway.

When you die, I'm nominating you for a darwin award....
Please let your family know about this thread so they can notify us when you die. Alternately, if your reproductive capacity is somehow removed by this, please let us know. Thanks

Hey all. I'm back. The guys at the hospital said it was pinched nerves brought on by not only sleeping wrong, but also stress. I didn't know stress could even do that to you. They gave me a needle and I kind of feel better. Well, I really can't tell yet until this needle wears off.

I'm glad it was only that though. My dad has had 2 heart attacks and open heart surgery brought on by stress from work and stuff. I'm hoping I don't end up the same way. Thanks for caring guys.
