Namco countertop cabinet?

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll find a countertop version of the cabinet. It's really small but apparently runs the same software as the full-size machines. I saw one IRL and it's great! Very compact, could fit just about anywhere.

My question: does anyone know about the guts in this thing? Is it JAMMA, or proprietary? Is there enough room for a typical arcade board inside? What I'd love to do is get one of these and stick, you know, Espgaluda II or something in it. =)

If anyone has any info it would be helpful. Thanks!

It has only one fire button though. Would be better to build one yourself with a JROK video encoder, a VOGATEK supergun, a 20+" LCD screen and arcade parts that you know are good quality. Could even build in some upscaler. That would be very awesome.

Edit: If you'd built one, you could put the JAMMA harness at the back, and the PCB could be fitted against the back door. Even older, double boards would be able to fit behind a 22+" LCD.

If I didn't already have 3 cabinets, this would be a fun project.

Better get that 25" ms pacman cabinet instead!
the tabletop looks neat, but it's way overpriced/might fall off the table  .

Part of the reason I'm looking into this is because I don't have room for a standard cab right now. But I'd love to have one of those eventually!

For that asking price of the tabletop cabinet, you could get a very decent Taito Egret II cab with plently of leftover change to buy some arcade shmup PCBs. But if space is at a premium, a tabletop cab will work wonders for the time being. ^_~
