I haven't been able to find much info on these games so I figured I'd make a topic. Are these games freeware only or can they be bought? If they can be bought are there any sites that have them for sale? Also, if they are freeware where can I find a site to download each game in the series? Thanks!

No, they are not freeware but, currently, only the 3rd and the revision of the 2nd game are for sale. I cannot for the life find the first one and after trying a the trial I also feel no need...

eXceed Vampire 2nd REX is probably the best, using an Ikaruga-like black/white colour system but actually being FUN. I don't know much about the 3rd except that it has better graphics and people complained it's boring and easy. However, I cannot backup those statements.

Check Himeyashop, I think they had or have them in stock.

Where did you find the trial for the first one at? I've only been able to find trials for eXceed 2nd and eXceed 3rd.

I checked Himeyashop and they didn't have any in stock.

Sadly, I no longer have the first one with me but, thanks to the links, I came to the conclusion that it seems that not even the author wants to recognise that game as his/hers =/

The only things for sale in jap stores are the two soundtracks, 2nd REX and 3rd. Nothing else, so the old exceed 2nd with all its engrish is also missing in action.

Oh, White Canvas is a japanese online store that takes international orders so you could try buying there (warning, prices can and will get a bit juicy so if you are going to order... order a pack to make up for the shipping)

That doesn't look like Ikaruga. That looks like Shikigami bullet scraping with the tension bar charging the seeking lasers.

And WOW does it look easy. Sparse simple bullet patterns, bullet canceling charge attack, AND regular bullet canceling bombs.

Ok, speaking seriously, eXceed 2nd wasn't that easy. I never played the 3rd so I have no idea what to think till I can put my claws on a trial version...

Whoever played the previous eXceed 3rd, what do you think of it? How are the game mechanics, bosses and overall style? Does it come with those ear-piercing high-pitched watatata voices? Does it come with a TLB or an extra stage and stuff like that?

Last question: there is a 6mb file there too. Is that a patch for the full version?
