Since I'm on the whole 'multi-directional shooter' kick, I kinda went Ebay crazy. Wife gave me some cash for Christmas, so I went nuts. Complete with box and manual unless stated otherwise.

Pocky and Rocky (SNES)
Mercs (Genesis)
Skeleton Krew (Genesis)
Gauntlet IV (Genesis)
Super Smash TV (Genesis)
Final Zone (Genesis)
Syndicate (Genesis - sealed)
Syndicate Wars (PS1)
Arcus Odyssey (Genesis)
Gain Ground (Genesis)
Soldiers of Fortune (Genesis)
Sub-Terrania (Genesis - sealed)
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Genesis)
Twinkle Tale (Genesis)
Pocky and Rocky 2 (SNES - cart only)

Genesis really seems to be the platform of choice for these shooters. They are quite cheap and look decent. The only one I spent more than 20 bucks on is Twinkle Tale. Many of them were under 10 before shipping. I got my sealed Sub-Terrania for 5 bucks. :P

Also which do you play?

Curious coming from another Fighting game fanatic :)

If there's one thing that doesn't suck about having divorced parents, it's that you get double as much at Christmas. This is probably my last year of getting so much, though, since I'm 18. I feel so uncomfortable getting so much, anyway...

Reading these lists you'd think there was no economic recession...

I got an adopted New Zealand penguin from my mum, a Luis Bunuel box set I already had from my dad (anyone interested?), and some aftershave from my girlfriend. Merry fucking xmas.

(I did get myself Disgaea DS though).

It's not a huge issue where I live. Cost of living is so horribly low here that the only thing that was affecting us was gas prices, and now that gas prices have tanked, I really don't mind.

Unless, of course, you have a job that isn't incredibly stable. I work for a university, so an act of God would have to happen for me to get laid off.

I walked away with a cordless drill, some shoes, a leather sportcoat, and a PSP (another one). I've vowed to not hack/mod this one. We still havn't had all the different family Christmas stuff, so there's more random things coming probably.

1. Piece of wrapping paper that has "I owe you socks" written on it
2. around $300USD in total from a bunch of relatives

I'm going to hold her to that "i owe you" because sadly, i do need some socks but don't feel like buying any since she owes me now
