HFS3 or HRAP3?

Post by Diebythesword »

I'm looking to buy my first arcade stick to play my Playstation SHMUPS and the ones through MAME, just wanna know which one would be a better purchase. I searched the forums and notice a lot of you saying to buy HRAP3 and replace the parts. Amazon is having a pre-order for 89.99 for the HRAP3, 30 more than the FS3. Let me know which one would be good, Thanks.

the extra $30 buys you a sanwa jlf joystick. the only thing you might want to change in the hrap is the buttons. the stock hori buttons are ok, though.

Hori parts are "Ok", but you definitely can tell the difference between them and Sanwa/Siemitsu. Once you try them, you won't want to go back. I've tried both and Hori stick/buttons drive me nuts now.

Well looks like I went for the FS3 it was on sale at random for 44.99. I'll just invest in a custom HRAP3 in the months to come :P Thanks though.
