i told myself i wasnt gonna play this game anymore, and geuss what? i played it, grinding once again, and realizing again its gonan take fucken fooooorrrrevvvverrrrrrr. I was just grinding just to see how many cards left i need to buy and they were many +3,000 gt cardsi was missing and i can only take Stage 1 for so long, aiming for a S rank, same music over and over, hoping to get at least a 1,000 on each stage 1 run.Then i realized this game is sucking the life outta me. I wasted about 7 hours working on the last achievement and im still not remotely done. FUCK you, KONAMI. This is the end of my rants.

I'm not entirely sure.. but I still haven't unlocked the 573 minute Achievement. So less than 10 hrs.

I just play Gorgeous Mode, and don't bother with abusing any tricks. I just play through the entire game and then try to see how far through the second loop I can get (so far, 2-5 aka 11, is the farthest I've gotten... I'm not really sure I want to see Odin Core's attacks at the higher loops). Each run (which lasts about 45 minutes or so) nets me around 10k gt.

I think the important thing is to space out play-throughs. I don't play more than 2 credits per sitting.

Yeah, if you're forcing yourself to grind through the game to unlock cards, you definitely won't enjoy it as much. Just play it as you'd play any other shooter, the cards are just a bonus.

Are you sure you have checked the single mission leaderboard? There are no replays in the versus mission lb.

Well from what I've seen and heard so far, not even sure I'll shell out the money for a used copy.

I'm a huge Parodius fan though so I dunno. Not to mention I don't even own a 360.

Eh, there are those in this thread that like the game, those who don't like it. I personally think it's worth the cash, but I suppose that if you have limited funds, I wouldn't necessarily import a J360 just to play this game.

On another note, the big Yamada Denki in my city was completely sold out of this game yesterday, so it isn't any guarantee that the price is going to fall out completely.

chains like midori haven't even bothered stocking it.

check the local gamer shops for used ones.

I got this game used and was expecting to totally hate it. Honestly it's not that bad. I mean if you actually liked the other parodius games I don't see why this one would spark hatred.

Plus if you can stomach garbage like THE then I don't see why this wouldn't interest you. I'm not saying this is amazing or anything but it's no where near as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Like I said before if you've played the other parodius games and liked them I think you'll be ok with this one. I haven't played all the parodius games but the ones I played I didn't really find that fun other than the goofy looking stuff.

Again I'm not saying it's mind blowing but it doesn't seem THAT awful considering folks are gonna pay 80.00 for an interlaced port of THE to PS2. This looks MILES better than that game. I have surprising caught myself playing a reasonable amount.

I know folk are crying about acheivments and other useless bonus stuff..... but you don't need to really worry about any of that stuff. It doesn't really add much to the game.

To each his own but it may have helped that I was totally expecting a total turd to start with when others may have had high hopes or something.... I have never really regarded parodius that highly, just a novelty like choaniki.

Just to let you guys know, the newest Arcadia has the winners of the Arcadia awards. Otomedius won best new idea. Konami also won most popular arcade maker.

At one of my local machines, I noticed that there were two new "coming soon" spaces next to the character profiles. Looks like the arcade version is getting some sort of expansion? Probably going to be the DLC they hinted at on the 360.

So this game got a premium theme on XBL on the 23rd.

Downloaded it and it's pretty lame. Shitty beach image as the background with character portraits behind your friends.
