Musapey's Choco Marker (DC) question.

Post by Blinx123 »

Hi there,

I've that one question I hope someone can answer.

Does the above mentioned Dreamcast game support the arcade stick? I know it's a Naomi GD-ROM port so normally it should be, but I want to be on the save side.

I think I remember playing it with a stick once.

Why do you ask? If you actually found a copy for sale you probably shouldn't hesitate to buy it; it's extremely hard to find nowadays. Definitely one of the rarest DC games.

It's a Sega naomi arcade game so most likely yes.
Cool, I never really looked into this title.

How the hell does it work? I see no pattern.

I found a demo for the pc. I installed it, but I think it needs directx 9c.
(I don't have that)

Let me know what you think
Oops, did I just break te rules here?
When I installed I only saw 4 levels. But if it is the full version I applogize. I found the link on a website that would never provide links to illegal cracked games. There's a review on gamefaqs too. Sandwiches eh? Thanks for the explanation.

dunno if i understand what you're asking for, but...

1. the download seems to be the final-version - not just a demo

2. yes, directx 9c is needed to run this

3. the game works (nearly) flawlessly on my XP-pc (i just have to figure out how to add a second controller for multiplayer - single-player is perfect though)

4. the game-mechanics are described pretty well here

in short: move the colored block attached to your feet around the maze & create "sandwiches" to make the blocks in that row disappear - until you get rid of all the blocks within the timelimit to proceed to the next level

Official site!
http://www.e56.info/choco/index.html
a 20mb file can be downloaded plus m$ files you need.

edit: apparantly it's also possible to clear boss like this:

O BOSS
X
O

instead of like in the picture above:

O
X BOSS
O

I consider this game a hidden gem. quite addicitve and pretty frustrating at times, but fair. you have to memorize what each of the 6 dimensions looks like and what you destroyed, where the boss is, etc.
